I think that would require senseless amounts of developing time, all taken away from more crucial matters. Those thumbnails look fine enough for me, it's not a photo gallery after all.

Re: support serie F (2013)

I have a UN60F7500 running Serviio Pro 1.4 and any file that I transcode to play doesn't allow me to pause or seek, I just get "Not Available". Can anyone else with an F-Series confirm whether or not they can pause or seek transcoded material using the E/F profile?

Thanks.

Re: support serie F (2013)

I am having problems getting thumbnails to work.
Using SABnzbd w. Sickbeard and Couchpotato and just updated to Serviio 1.4.1.2 on my Zyxel NSA325 and it works great although it does not generate thumbnails on my UE46F6475 running F/W 1119 (latest as per 2014-04-29).

I have set the correct DLNA-profile "Samsung TV F-series" under "Status", checked the "Retrieve descriptive metadata" under "Library" and it does not generate any.
Under the "Metadata" tab everything is default, I tried forcing a metadata refresh and the log on my NAS only shows this:
"2014-04-29 20:25:51,850 INFO [LibraryManager] Forcing metadata update for 'VIDEO' media files"
and nothing else.

I have NOT downloaded the "dcraw" package if that is used by the NAS to generate thumbnails (if they are in RAW-format by default, if anybody knows that?).

Edit:

Another question which I might open a new post about is that when I try to play a certain movie (its only one out of perhaps 15?) then the TV RESTARTS haha?
It actually restarts, when I try to play it then it says "Loading" with a spinning circle and then the circle freezes and the restart occurs.
I have played file way bigger (in size) and it is the same file-format (or at least it says it is) as every other movie (x-matroska).

Any ideas why?

Here are somethings that might shed some light on the behavior in the log:
  Code:

EDIT:

Solved it :D
"dcraw" is REQUIRED (I read it as optional for raw images but by default all images seem to be downloaded in that format OR
it was solved due to the fact that I changed the "DLNA profile" and SAVED. Earlier I forgot to "SAVE" the changes. Not sure what did it.

For users installing "dcraw" onto their Zyxel NSA325 this might be helpful:

Re: support serie F (2013)

I have a problem playing an MKV file. I can play it correctly from USB-drive, but cannot via Serviio.
It lags and I cannot choose audio and subtitle track.
As I see the transcoding makes this problem. How do I update the F series profile to play the file?

There's no guarantee that a file that plays via USB will play via DLNA, particularly with older devices. I know, 2013 isn't that old ;)

I'm not home right now, so can't look at the F profile. My guess is you'll need to add a transcoding line to include MKV files, and if there's one already there it may need tweaking to match your specific video and/or audio codec inside the MKV file. Remember that MKV is only a container, and it's the codecs inside that determine if they can be played.

Re: support serie F (2013)

Firstly determine whether you can play the file natively - switch to the Generic Profile on the Status tab of Serviio Console, press Save and restart your PC (can't remember if you have to restart but better to be safe). Play the file.

If it does play, try editing the Samsung TV / player (H-series) profile to change the stuff in red:

    <Matches container="*" vCodec="h264" profile="high" levelGreaterThan="5.0" />
    <Matches container="*" vCodec="h264" profile="main" levelGreaterThan="5.0" />
Save the profile and restart (definitely this time) your PC (or service if you know how). See if that works - if it does it may affect other files, so keep an eye on things.

If it doesn't play in the Generic Profile, you must transcode it. Set the number of cores on the Transcode tab in serviio Console to the maximum you have and see if that helps.
