Serviio

Hi,

I've Samsung UE40D6500 and I'm using Serviio 1.2.1 on Windows 8 Pro 64bit.

Problem:
Serviio crash after few minutes.

My Serviio Settings:
- Bound IP Address: 192.168.1.68
- Renderer Profile:
- IP Address: 192.168.1.64
- Device Name: UE40D6500
- Profile: Samsung TV / player (C/D/E-series)
- Using wireless connection, all required ports are open.

I've read almost every post on forum and tried several solutions, but nothing worked. I'd really appreciate any help to fix my problem as soon as possible..

What crashes? On the PC, on the TV? When playing a file? What file? Need details.

It does crash on TV. After several minutes popup message appear and I have to restart TV. After that it works, but again just for few minutes.

I prefer Serviio than Samsung Allshare, because it was better.

And file type is for example:
- Side.Effects.2013.SLOSubs.DVDRip.XviD-DrSi.avi

It works perfectly for around 10-20mins and after that time, Serviio just stops. I've read all topics with similar problems on samsung tvs, but couldn't find a solution. If it's possible to help me, I'd really appreciate it. Otherwise I'll have to find an alternative

What Popup message?

Having a Samsung TV as well, I am assuming he is talking about the popup message on the TV that the "Device has been disconnected". You shut off the TV and turn it back on which allows it to see Serviio again. Mine does it but I am relating it to the Java/OS X 10.8.4 breakage.

I am also having exact same issue with my serviio/ samsung UN50ES6150 tv on macbook pro osx 10.7.5

Serviio was working great with my Dell, Netgear router, and Samsung smart TV, until a few weeks ago. Now it crashes after five minutes or so, as described by others. I can't figure out what's going on but I started having problems with my SanDisk flash drive and disabling Samsung Kies background activity eliminated that problem.

Same problem on my D7000 !

Same problem with my pn60f8500. Also, there is no "F" option in the profile settings. My C series worked flawlessly. now im having all sorts of issues where folder I open are disconnecting me and when i do play a file it will disconnect a few minutes into the video

are there any errors in the log?

Sorry, I was at holidays. The popup message is exactly what Bumru5h said:"Device has been disconnected". Then I have to restart my TV. It works again, but only for several minutes. I usually get 5-6 messages during the movie (appx. 1h 30min).

I'm having the same problem.

Server stops working after 10-20 min.
Already clean installed my computer and stayed exactly the same.
Havent made any router or tv firmware update. One day it just started to do this.

Any ideas?

Hi,

My issue ended up being the internet. I used Ethernet over Power (powerline devices) to run the internet through the house. Using EoP needs to be directly into the power socket not a power board and it's surge protected but the nature of the device needs to "surge".

I plugged the EoP device directly into the wall and it worked fine.

I only found this out after trying everything else. Ended up being easy, but took me to o everything else first.

No... I'm using plain Ethernet.
