F6400 - Pause during x265 transcoding?
Posted: Tue Jan 03, 2017 8:14 pmHi there, currently using Serviio 1.5.2 Win 10 with Samsung F6400. This TV doesn't play x265/HEVC naturally, so I'm using the transcoding options from Serviio.
However, during play of transcoded files (tried several), I have zero control over the flow. No pause, no time-based seek, not even "continue from previous point" (every time I open a transcoded play it starts from the beginning). I was wondering if that's a limitation of my F6400, Serviio ou something else and if is there something I can do about it.
Not sure how to explain it, but I do a lot of "in chunks" watching, kids in the house plus an irregular schedule, so pausing and stuff is really terribly missed.
Regardless, I'm really impressed by the transcoding function in general. I have a meager CPU and yet Serviio transcoded a heavy x265 smoothly with no noticeable loss of quality. Truly a great feat.
