Bravia 4K Support
Hi everyone,
I have become the proud owner of a fancy new AF8 (took me 18mths of saving) and couldn't wait to start streaming my 4K movie collection that I have been creating over the past 12 months, so Im sure I don't need to explain my disappointment at getting the error message when trying to launch any 4K file, no matter what format I try, all because the existing Sony Profiles don't support 4K playback - something Ive just learnt after reading through other peoples similar experiences.
I have tried the Generic DLNA profile, but that doesn't work either. Can someone please offer up a suggestion as to which Profile I might be able to use, or fail in that, provide any idea as to if/when there maybe a new Profile released for Sony Devices that will provide 4K playback at the very least - I'm not greedy, subtitles can wait.
it is really frustrating having to use multiple Media Servers to get around this problem and I would much prefer to only use Servo because it isn't so processor hungry and doesn't have unnecessary features, like what Plex has bloated into.
Thanks in advance for any forth coming help and advice. Cheers, Michael
