Sony XBR9 plays ALL videos in "wide-screen" by default

Whenever my TV starts playing a video, it always does it in wide-screen mode -- even if the original is 4:3. I can sometimes change this on-the-fly by circling through available modes with the remote's "Wide" button...

I realize, that this is, primarily, a TV's problem, but I wonder, if there is something Serviio could do to work-around it...

the default ffmpeg command should get it right. Not sure if it's ffmpeg's issue or the TV's

Re: Sony XBR9 plays ALL videos in "wide-screen" by default

When playing on a different TV (by LG), I noticed, that the video-file's information is flashing is 0x0...

Could it be, that some additional data-field is left unpopulated, and this confuses the Sony?
