.MOV stutter help

Hi, I tried searching the forum and reading the read me files but couldn't find a solution to this, though I probably missed it.

I have .MOV files recorded with a Canon camera at an average bitrate of 35k kbps. 1920X1080. It seems that I need to leave transcoding on to allow these files to play b/c if I turn it off they aren't supported. However, when I leave it on, they stutter like crazy. Other videos (mkv, avi) don't have this problem on my network.

I have read that creating a generic profile might work but I honestly have no clue how to do this. Can someone help?

I have the Sony BDP-BX59 and use a Windows 7 computer, wired ethernet connection.
