Cann not start server.

I have the Sony blu-ray player model S390. I have been watching movies on my TV stored on my computer thru my wifi with Serviio as my server. For some reason everything has came to a stop. I can turn on the player and see Serviio and my computer but when I try to open access to my computer it say's wait until the server is started. It goes thru the motions and then tells me the server can not be started and to try again in a few moments with the same server. I try and try but server can not be started. I have hard booted everything in the system, I have un-installed Serviio and reinstalled it, I have shut down my anti-virus and I am still drawing a blank.

Re: Cann not start server.

Look at your Serviio log file - it should point to the issue. If not, enable detailed logging and see if that shows anything (post the log here if you need someone to look at it).

What OS are you using? Is Java correctly installed (for Linux and version 1.5 of Serviio this should be Java 8).

Re: Cann not start server.

I'm not real keen on finding my way thru most of this stuff..lol.. I looked around in the console but did not see an option for starting a log or how to view it. I am running a windows 7 machine. One thing I did find that may or may not be what you were asking for?

  Code:
<param name="Threshold" value="DEBUG"/>
<param name="Append" value="true"/>
<param name="File" value="${serviio.home}/log/serviio.log"/>
<param name="MaxFileSize" value="500KB"/>
<param name="MaxBackupIndex" value="5"/>
<param name="Encoding" value="UTF-8"/>

<layout class="org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout">
<param name="ConversionPattern" value="%d{ISO8601} %-5p [%c{1}] %m%n"/>
</layout>

Change value (restart service or PC after):
<category name="org.serviio">
<priority value="DEBUG"/>
</category>

Re: Cann not start server.

OKay, I can start the server now but... When I select video or any other file on my PC, it tells me in every catagory that there are no playable files.
I am using this program to view movies I have saved on my PC. I have Netgear connected to the PC, which in turn connects to the Blu-Ray player that is connected to the TV thru an HDMI cable, if that makes any difference?

Re: Cann not start server.

Now you need to check the profile assigned to your BD player. Look on the console on the Status tab. Find the IP address of the BD player (you can find it in the player menu if it's not obvious in the list). Make sure the profile selected is "Sony BDP-Sx90 (2012)".
