KDL-46HX820-Streaming problems

Hello,
I have MKV, AVI, MP4, ... video (movie) files to stream to our Sony Bravia TV.
I have installed latest version of Serviio (1.5.1)
Sometimes we have following problems:

- Sounds but no videos
- Narrow videos (aspect ratios not right) on some files

I do not know how to change any setting and codes in Serviio.

This is an example of a MP4 movie with sound only.

Would appreciate if I get help to fix these issues.

I don't know...probably due to a AVC encoding setting that sony bravia does not support...such weird files should be transcoded.

I suggest to add a custom profile that you can manually select on serviio console when you want to see such files.

Edit the ./serviio/config/profiles.xml file (make a backup before)

Add the following lines at the end of file, just before the last </Profiles> element.

Save the file, then restart serviio service or simply reboot your PC to reload profile.

You can now either select custom profile or select default 2011 profile for your device on serviio console.

Hello Illico,

My profile was Sony Bravia TV (2010). I changed it to Sony Bravia TV (2011). It worked but my avi files disappeared. I changed the profile to Sony Bravia TV (2011)-US.
Everything seems working fine. If I come across any problem, I post again.
