2010-2011 Sony Device Issues with New Firmware

I think I may have made a mistake as I have accepted the latest firmware on my Sony devices. It seems that some file formats that once worked no longer play and for some files (again that once worked) audio gets distorted requiring a pause/play.

The devices are: SMP-N200, BDP-S3100 and BDP-S370. Using the Sony Bravia 2012 (US) profile, more files seem to work.

Has Sony removed legacy file formats? It seems like many of the affected files are AVI or WMV.

Any suggestions? Can the Sony firmware be rolled back (I doubt this is possible but its worth a shot asking).

No, you cannot roll back the firmware version. Unfortunate, I know.

I have an issue with my BDP-S3100 players with M2TS files, but everything else plays. However, I have no WMV or AVI files, so I can't speak to any issues there. Same with the SMP-N200 players I still have.
