Did you try the new Playstation 4 Profile? I am hoping (without any foundation to do so) that the Playstation TV and PS4 use the same Media Player app by now??
If that doesn't work, give the Roku profile (CHANERU) a try and let us know.
The only info I have is from the web, and that's very dated, but it suggests that it supports very few video formats:
Streaming formats: DLNA
Supported servers: DLNA
Audio formats: MP3
Video formats: H.264, MPEG4
Video file extensions: MP4
Image formats: JPEG
Internet streaming services : None
If this info is correct then it only supports mp4 containers - which will mean you can only play files natively (as you cannot transcode one-the-fly to mp4). The Generic profile will do this, but you are limited to media files matching the above.
You will need to confirm what formats are supported before anyone can assist - either from your manual or better, by doing a UPnP sink - see
