issue with embedded subtitles in MKV files

I have Serviio v 1.7.1.1 and a Bravia 49XD8099 using windows 10
I have an issue when playing MKV files with embedded subtitles in them, in that they are showing even when the enable subtitle box is unticked. Files which have a separate subtitle file are fine. Not sure where to find the log file in this version of Serviio.
