LG BD660 Blu Ray Player, srt subtitles not working!

I have an LG BD660 Blu Ray player, it does support srt subtitles, but when playing a movie from serviio the subtitles are not shown/detected.

The subtitle file is named correctly (same as movie file but with srt extension), and if I copy the movie and subtitle files to a USB stick and plug it into the player it plays fine and the subtitles work as expected.

I initially selected the "LG TV / player" profile, but when this did not work I then tried adding a new minimal profile as mentioned in another post:

</Profile>

This didn't work either.

I turned on DEBUG mode and tried to play "The Da Vinci Code" with subtitles, and I have attached the log file produced.

Any help would be much appreciated.

UPDATE: I have installed Nero MediaHome 4 Essentials (it came with the player) and the subtitles work when the movie is played from this server, so the files must be OK.

Hi Cerberus,

I made the change to the profile mentioned in the post you linked to, but it didn't help. I even downloaded the modified 'profiles.xml' file and tried that, in case I had made a mistake copying the changes, but it was just the same - the movie still plays OK, but no subtitles, doesn't matter if I browse to it via Movies or Folders.

did you restart Serviio / your PC after you made the change?

Yes, I restarted the windows service, and also the DLNA server via the Serviio console, and since then I have also restarted the PC, but still no subtitles.

did you try an AVI file?

Yes, the movies I have tried are all AVI files.
