photo load time

I have a really annoyin problem. I got a new camera (better and with higher resolution) meaning pictures have increased in file size - and I do not know if this is the problem.
But takes 4-5 seconds to load every picture, so it does not really work as a way to view my photoes.
My previous camera photos took less than a second, I did not feel I had to wait.
Any ideas on how I can see if it is cables, router, serviio, TV or something else that causes the problem?
Anybody else has the same issue?
