I just got Serviio 1.4.1.2 running on my DS415+, but would have preferred to install the Serviio 1.5.
I'm still waiting for a reply on whether its possible to construct a Synology NAS Serviio 1.5 installation package, or if one will become available soon on this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=18272&p=98423&hilit=DS415#p98423.
To get the earlier version running on a DS415+ you need to FIRST install the EJRE6 or EJRE7 from the Community Packages, after adding the package repository URL which is
http://packages.pcloadletter.co.uk to the Package Sources in the Package Center's Settings, as per the provided Synology installation instructions at:
http://pcloadletter.co.uk/2012/01/25/se ... o-package/.
Then, because the DS415+ uses the Intel C2538 avoton chip, the Serviio Package does not show in the list of Community Packages; so it's necessary to download the Synology Serviio Install Package (to the DS415+'s "public" shared folder), edit the INFO file using 7Zip to add the chip descriptor by following the instructions I'd found here: viewtopic.php?p=96187#p96187. Then, you can install Serviio 1.4.1.2 using the Syno DSM Package Center's - Manual Install feature.
You have to have the right version of EJRE installed FIRST. I was stumped for a while as to why Serviio (although installed) would not run on the DS415+. That was because I had installed Serviio with the EJRE8 installed first as a trial, which didn't work because Serviio 1.4.1.2 is only designed to support EJRE6 or EJRE7. Fine, I thought removing the EJRE8 and installing the EJRJ7 would allow Serviio to run, but it didn't. I had to remove Serviio, and re-install it with the correct EJRE running first, then it was fine.
