Serviio 1.7.1 on QNap - connection refused

Hello,

I have installed Serviio 1.7.1 on my Qnap NAS TS-410 using the app provided by Qnap.
When I try to access the Serviio setup page on the NAS, in my case http://192.168.1.49:23423/console, I get the error message "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"

Uninstall/re-installing the app does not make any difference, neither is stopping and restarting the services. A quick check using netstat on the NAS showed that there is no service currently using port 23423.

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Check the NAS system log, see if the service started

Also chack serviio log files. Easiest is SSHing to the NAS and go to /share/MD0_DATA/.qpk/Serviio (I think)

Hello,

Thanks for your help. I cannot find any process called serviio using ps -ef, I presume this means it is not running?
If that's the case, how do I start it manually?

Also, there is no file called serviio (or Serviio) under any of /share subfolders.

Further suggestions?

---- EDIT ----

I have used the following command to start the service:
/etc/init.d/serviio.sh start
Result, however, was not as hoped:
Starting Serviio ... Serviio startup command failed

Still no idea where the Serviio file log would be

I think the problem might be more because that NAS simply isn't up to running the newer version of Serviio - I had a TS412 and couldn't make it run on that either. No issue with more recent models though...
