Hello,

I installed the Java8 Package from Synology and then Serviio. both installation installed well, but when i start serviio it stopps after a few seconds. if I´m fast enough i can connect from firefox but i see not much.
sorry about my englih :-). Maybe some Screenshots are helpful.

If i prepared deinstall java from synology and try to intall the java SE Embedded 8 from patters I get the error: Java binary bundle not found. i was expecting the file /volume1/public/ejdk-8u252-linux-armv6-vtp-hflt.tar.gr. .......

is there a problem with ds218play (armv8?)

Thanks a lot for your help.

Please post a copy of the Serviio log. It sounds like something isn't starting correctly, and the log should state what it is.

I'm unfamiliar with NAS installations, so I can't say exactly where the log can be found. But where ever Serviio is installed, there should be a subfolder labeled Log and you will find it there.

Neo, that is a rather small portion of the log, but my guess is that it can't find Java on your NAS. I can't help with installing Java, but that looks like the issue.

Java and Serviio packages updated with proper 64bit ARM support now. Please test.

This should fix OP's issue. The other poster with the DS418j has another separate issue in which the Java runtime seems fundamentally flawed on those Armada SoC systems. It appears to run fine for a few minutes then will just throw an exception almost at random. I have no cure for that unfortunately, and spent a while testing stuff on one of those units with zero success.
