Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.5 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

There's no subtitles ability for ARM. The libass library is not included to make subtitles work.

Transcoding is a pain for ARM chips, it's perfectly fine for remuxing (video file doesn't change, audio gets transcode). ARM uses fixed point audio encoder to make audio transcoding quicker.

But you have the latest multi core ARM chips that's similar to smartphone.
Maybe if you get ffmpeg compiled from an Android Linux multi core build, you may get better performance and could transcode video real-time.

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.5 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Thanks for the QPKG. I installed on my TS-453pro. When i browse the library, the categories that depend on downloaded metadata do not show anything or are tagged unknown. I can only see my video file when i browse by folder or recently added/watched.

Thanks for the metadata tip...I was having the same issue!

BTW I am still loving your test build for the dual-core ARM! An optimized version of ffmpeg in a future release would be awesome, but I have no experience with gcc so I wouldn't be able to offer any compiler advice.

I'm glad it works, these are smartphone chips, maybe you can find a compiled build for Android, but it must be compiled with librtmp.

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.5 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

serviio 1.5 on qnap 253pro
the package works well on my nas but i have a problem:
when i add a nef file to library i receive this message:
2015-04-08 02:47:14,551 WARN [MediaFileIndexer] Cannot add file DSC_0008.NEF because of invalid metadata. Message: Unknown image file type.

the same file on serviio 1.5.1 installed on windows xp works properly and it is added to library without error.

True that, :) , Everyone I get an email from Serviio Forum , I'm hoping to get a new update and this does not fall under the QNAP version update section. :)

It's because this package doesn't come with dcraw build .. thus the RAW images won't work.

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.5 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Hi guys,
I recently bought a NAS and have noticed that Serviio seems to go offline a lot.

Is this the best version: v1.5 Rev 1 for Intel on a QNAP TS-451 device?

How far away will v1.6 be for the NAS on Intel?

Jason
Thanks.

Hello - i have QNAP TS-231 with ARMv7. Is it possible to install Serviio? - If i try to install the version for ARM, i got error about wrong architecture.

[Edit] found correct build for x31-ARMs. Seems to work perfect. Thanks

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.5 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

@xmantium - 1.5 x86 package works perfect on TS-251 but I have a problem with version >= 1.5 from my LG TV (https://bitbucket.org/xnejp03/serviio/issues/854/stream-multiplexer-should-restart-after) . Would it be possible to post a link to the latest 1.4.1 version?

Thanks,

JairoX

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.5 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

Hopefully I should have time this week to update the package, I've been very busy.

The new version fixes few bugs such as scanning new files

Re: PACKAGE: Serviio 1.5 for QNAP NAS (ARM & x86 Intel)

That would be great, many thanks in advance. I will test the new version with my LGTV and see if the streams work. In the meantime, could you re-activate your link to version 1.4.1 (https://bitbucket.org/Xmantium/serviio-qpkg/downloads/Serviio_1.4.1.2-R1_x86.qpkg)? Or could anyone else post the 1.4.1.2-R1 x86 package?

Cheers,

Jx-

Hi Xmantium, any idea why the current version goes offline a lot?

WARNING: Serviio has not started correctly. Please go to App Centre on your NAS or use Qmanager on your phone. Stop Serviio, wait 30 seconds, then start Serviio.
Thanks.
