Synology DS213+

Welcome.
I plan to purchase Synology DS213+ and install Serviio on it.
I only doubt whether serviio will run on a different processor than the Intel Atom and ARM, and from what I read in the DS213 + is Freescale MPC8544E 1.067GHz (PowerQUICC III processor).
Does it matter?

P.S.
Are there any performance benchmarks of the new processor as compared to the old 2.0GHz Marvell Kirkwood mv6282?

Re: Synology DS213+

What is the RAM size ? 512MB should be fine, 128MB is quite low. For CPU, I don't know.

Re: Synology DS213+

The problem is the type of processor. Apparently, for these processors is not java, so serviio will not start.
Is this true?

Re: Synology DS213+

Unfortunately, Synology compiled their Linux for PowerPC CPUs using glibc 2.34 but Oracle's Java for PowerPC requires at least glibc 2.4. Currently this is the case even for these 2013 models, as you can see from the toolchain they built the OS with:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dsgpl/f ... %202.6.32/

So no Serviio on Freescale CPU for the moment :(
