If you know of any please let me know. Or if you
Have ideas to make it better.

Don't worry, I wouldn't have done better...very far.
What about plugin modification/update ? How do I do?

Plugins are maintained here - http://www.serviidb.com/plugins
Simply remove the old plugin and upload the new groovy

Which smartphone do you Illico?
Also about the French entries, would users prefer the titles in English or French?

None for the moment...

I would say Title in French. (Thanks for your job, I used your logo on available plugin top page)
What about involuntary login disconnection ? (I used Firefox)

You can still use latest Marks PHP Web UI to add sources to your Serviio - http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=phpwebui
Please note theres a bugwith webUI where it add the sources as RSS feed, you have to change it manually if your source is web recourse.

The bug with login appeared with the latest update to the site, only seems to happen when you go root homepage, if you Chrome, i use Chromes autologin, not sure if Firefox has a similar feature

Since Moltra has made me SuperUser to the site ive been maintaining the database plugin by plugin
I try to update the plugins as soon as i can, TrailerAddict has been updated
Most of the English plugins sources are complete

Quickest way to add sources if find a source already in a plugin - example http://www.serviidb.com/content/m6repla ... n=node/730
Open "+Clone content" in new tab, edit the url source and title and press save

I am working on a new site and making changes to the existing site. I just added a filed to the plugin content "plugin api test". This field is just a unique text field, so it should be easier to create new plugins.

Let me know what you think.

Hey all I need some ideas on how to get developers to post their plugins on http://www.serviidb.com and how to get the developers to keep the plugin file version updated.

We can make some rules here where to upload the plugins. We could make serviidb the only repo (but then I'd need reassurance it'll stay live and not go awol) or give recommendation to devs. We could even do something like PlayOn is doing, ie kind of marketplace, so devs could sell plugins on serviidb.

Regarding the version, you could install Groovy JVM on your server and invoke the getVersion() method on the uploaded plugin - not sure if it's doable with your provider.

I will keep serviidb.com up as long as I have applications pulling from the API. If there was some reason why I could not maintain it, I would transfer the site to someone else.

I can set up the site so that developers can sell their plugins. I would have to get in touch with the developers of the clients that pull from the API and discuss how we could do the downloads of the groovy files. Right now it is a straight download link. If we setup selling the plugins, I would have to change the way they are downloaded via the API. But I think it could be done. I can think of a couple of ways to do it right now.

I am looking at how to setup a groovy web console to allow easier sharing of code and testing of groovy scripts.

I need a list of all the variables that are used from the API from each developer. I am getting ready to do a modification of the API and would like to remove old code.

I am going to be adding a response to the API that returns all the Categories that are in the database. Then I am going to add a parameter to the media, video and audio responses that will allow filtering by the category.

If anyone else wants anything else changed to the API please let me know. I am going to be doing a complete review of the API code and developing a new API guide.

There should be a new one for 1.3 feature ServiiLinks - https://bitbucket.org/xnejp03/serviio/i ... to-serviio

It will make it easy for people adding sources from ServiiDB website
Hows plans going for a PHP lightweight version of ServiiDB

I got this information from Zip.

  Code:
ServiioLink looks like this:
serviio://<file_type>:<online_repo_type>?url=<url_encoded_content_url>&thUrl=<url_encoded_thumbnail_url>&name=<url_encoded_repository_name>

where

file_type can be audio, image or video
online_repo_type can be web, live or feed
Regarding query parameters, only url is mandatory.

Some examples:

serviio://video:live?url=rtmp%3A%2F%2Fsome.com%3Fparam%3D1%26param2%3D2+playPath%3Daa%2Fbb%2Fcc+live%3D1&thUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aa.com%2Fth.jpg%3Fparam%3D1&name=my+live+stream+%C4%8C%C5%A1%C5%99

serviio://audio:feed?url=http%3A%2F%2Fsome.google.com%2Ffeed.xml

I will create a link in the database for each source.

One thing that I need to figure out how to do is have my site query serviio to see if the plugin for a source is installed. I will look at the serviio api on how to do that. If anyone has a way to do that using PHP please send me a link or PM.
Will also have to see if I can figure a way to determine the serviio path to make it easier to install plugins.

I am still looking at different ways to optimize the site, but for right now, I think I am going to stay with drupal at least until I make all the changes to the API. The site has been pretty stable.

I could make an API to upload plugins, rather than copying on filepath. If you want that, create a ticket.

That would be great, that way I will be able to download and install plugins when needed when users add new online sources via ServiiDroid. (And let the user update their plugins in one go to the latest versions)

Yes, ServiioLinks is coming to ServiiDB.

@Devs is there any interest for the ServiioLinks to returned by the serviidb API?

I don't think so, they are very easy to build, so the data in the API will be enough. Most third party consoles will want to consume them, not present them.

I am in the process of developing the new serviidb.com site in python and django. Please review information at https://github.com/moltra/serviidb and create issues for any feedback.

I am in the process of setting up a test server so you can test the site as I build it and give feedback.
