add items to serviidb

I am ready to add items to serviidb. Xmantium has been busy adding plugins and feeds for UK. Below is the way that you add plugins and media resources. If you have any questions let me know.

  Code:
To add a plugin you do the following:

1. click on add content in the navigation menu.
2. Click on plugin
3. Type in Plugin Name
4. browse to plugin and upload it.
5. Enter Revision info
6. Enter text or basic html in body
7. Since it is a new plugin you can cut and paste or type in the plugins field. (to the right you will see a small wheel animation, once the animation has stopped you can click on save).
8. Click on Save

Now when you add a new media Resource you can select the plugin under plugins.

Re: add items to serviidb

Can i make a new proposal. Plugin Catergories. So scrap the global Catergory. Users really add feeds based on the type of feed they want to add

Each plugin should have its own catergory for example

iPlayer --> TV
--> Radio

4oD --> Doumentary
--> Drama
-->Reality
ect

YouTube --> Standard feeds
--> Music Channels
--> Comedy Channels
ect

RSS video feeds can have its own catergories
Live video Feeds can also have it own catergories
Sony Bravia 2010 52NX803 - Sony PS3 - Xbox 360
Serviio running on QNAP NAS 639 Pro - 1.6 Intel Dual Core - 2GB RAM and QNAP NAS 121 - 2Ghz ARM Marvell - 1GB RAM
Console using ServiiDroid for Android, ServiiMetro and ServiiWP for Windows Phone and WebUI for iOS

Re: add items to serviidb

I have been thinking about this today. I think I am going to leave the global category the way it is. I can make it look like there are separate categories for each plugin. But still be able to pull up all in each category. Gives the most flexability
