Serviio

Hi everyone.

Thanks for all the support on ServiiWP. I have been hard at work on my next application (Serviiew) and it is quickly taking shape. It is a CDS playback application and alot of the basic features are up and running already. That is why I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing some beta testing when this is ready?

From my point of view there are pretty much four aspects to this application. Below I will try and give a status on what is implemented and what is missing.

General:
+ Automatic detection of Serviio servers
+ Ability to get CDS key automatically
+ Browsing of folders
+ About page

Photo
+ Show photos in portrait and landscape mode
+ Next and previous taps to cycle through photos in same folder
+ Slideshow feature with variable flip-delay

Video
+ Basic playback with progress indication
+ Pause/unpause
+ Subtitle support (currently only srt)
+ Playback quality selection (original, medium and low)
- Only supported on Windows Phone 8. WP7 OS contain a bug that crash the entire OS when trying to playback ASF streams with WMV and WMA content.
- No seeking support yet. Unable to initiate playback when "start time" set different then 0

Audio
+ Basic control. Play, Pause, Next and Previous.
+ Playlist support
+ Background playback and integration with volume and lock-screen controls
+ Download of artist and album information from last.fm

So If anyone is interested in beta testing please let me know. I would like testers using Serviio 1.1 (as this is required as 1.0.1 does not have correct profiles) and both WP7 and WP8 users. Please again note that Video is NOT working on WP7.

Cool! I could try video on my Windows Phone 7, don't mind if it crashes the OS as I can quickly reflash it again on my unlocked phone

Tested the beta you sent of ServiiWP new features and works fine.

I will beta test your app. I have a HTC 8x running Windows Phone 8 and a Lumia 800 running Windows Phone 7.5. I am running Serviio 1.1 Pro. I have also developed a few of my own Windows Phone apps. I am looking for a way to stream my Bosch DVR series 600 cameras to my windows phone. I have managed to add the cameras as online sources on Serviio and view them when on my local lan using Oneplayer, but still need a way to view them over the internet.

+10 would love to see a CDS playback application for the Windows Phone!

I would definitely be interested in participating in your beta. The app sounds compelling to say the least. Will it work if I am on a Business Voip Phone System? And when do you think it will be ready?

Hi all.

I am actually considering the app pretty much feature complete. There are some playlist management stuff that I would like to add but currently the app runs pretty stable - at least on my setup... so I think I will start beta testing after the weekend.

Please if you want to join please drop a pm with your email address so I can add this to the beta testing list.

CDS Play back sounds great...do you have an update?
