happy to announce that I've updated the WebUI 1.3beta by Mark Pemberton. The fork should now be fully compliant with Serviio API version 1.2. Hope, everything works out (requires Serviio v1.2 or above)

Thank you Swoop. I did not see your post some how about the updated webui up until now. I installed it right away , the log and plugin displays features look great. it would make this even better if we can show latest log entries at the top.

Here is a code i found that does just that - read a file in reverse. Sure, it will tax the server resources just a bit but i think it will worth it.

Is there also a way to format the logs like notepad++
ie, "WARN" is highlighted in red

Would love to have clear logs too.
It would be also cool to reuse the folder share button to locate the log file from the Web UI rather than user edit the php file where novice users may not know where to start.

to be honest, I haven't used that PHP reverse function yet as it was warned to meybe cause performance issues. I'll give it a try within the next days. I'll also try that color thing but since everything's running on my NAS, I don't promise anything

Btw, I decided not to use a button to be able to choose the log file location due to security reasons (yeah, I know, that folder tree thingy is also dangerous then).

made the changes you requested for the GUI regarding the reverse order of leg events and the color notation. Warnings are now shown in yellow, errors in red. Surprisingly, that change had no real performance impact (I'm developing on my NAS) so glad you were kind of picky on this

I'd love to start working on the 1.3 beta but unfortunatly, I'm not added to the beta testers group yet although I've applied for membership and also send a PM to zip

I've already implemented most of the v1.3 features. What's still pending is the import/export functionality. Will create a new repo soon, so that other can still work with serviio version 1.2.1 and GUI 1.4b3

There is a guy in the beta forum that is working off your repo on 1.3 features too. Might be good to consolidate it all.

I just think of the noob or novice user trying to use Serviio.

Let me finish implementing all the changes and then we'll see how we do it with collabo. Only show stopper for me is that I move houses on Monday
