The markup seems to have changed once more.
It works if I change the playlinkMatcher to look for "play_js-video-link" class attribute.

Thanks for the report. I'm on it.

Hi everyone,

I have now implemented a plugin which has unified support for tv3play.se, tv6play.se, tv8play.se, tv10play.se and similar sites run by MTG in other countries as well.

Hi everyone,

There has been slight markup changes at SvtPlay again, breaking the plugin. I have uploaded version 20 today to fix the problems.

Also (and more importantly) I have provided a RSS feed plugin.

It turns out that there are RSS feeds for almost all shows / sections of the SvtPlay site.

Just add /rss.xml to the end of any URL and you should get a feed.

So, most of you should move to the Rss plugin for your feed definitions. This will be a little less sensitive to markup changes, and you will get proper publishing dates for feed items (individual shows).

If you have a feed definition for the Web resource plugin like this:
http://www.svtplay.se/filmochdrama?tab=senaste

Then you may REMOVE the query string (?tab=senaste) and ADD /rss.xml, to get:
http://www.svtplay.se/filmochdrama/rss.xml

This url should be registered as a feed of type RSS/Atom.
Do note that the RSS feeds seem to be the latest episodes for a show / category. So if you want episodes filtered by some other tab like "Populäraste" (http://www.svtplay.se/filmochdrama?tab=populara) you still need to use the web resource plugin for that.

The Rss feed plugin as well as a new version of the web resource plugin have been posted in the first message of this thread.

Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the plugin.

Could you please show me how to use it on live feed?
http://www.svtplay.se/kanaler

Besides, I am watching it outside of sweden. The link below filters shows able to watch in foreign countries.
http://www.svtplay.se/program?rattigheter=utomlands

Can I add this link to serviio?

Even though those are live broadcasts, the address is not a "live stream" in Serviio terminlology.
That url should be added as a Web resource feed, and then you will be able see the live broadcasts as individual items in that feed. Of course, this is subject to geographic restrictions. If you can play the live shows in youir browser then it should be no problem doing it through Serviio.

No, that link is just a filter for links to individual shows, and Serviio's plugin architecture has no support for recursive parsing.
But it does give you a list of shows which you should be able to add as feeds.
Each one of the links points to a url which you may add as a Web resource feed.

Awesome Plugin!

I just have one issue though, the RSS seems to have more content then 10 videos, but it seems restricted to that.

Is it only me getting 10 films from http://www.svtplay.se/filmochdrama/rss.xml ?

Hi,

I certainly get more than 10 items.

Sounds like you have not set the "Max. number of feed items to retrieve" setting in the Online resources tab to a large enough setting.

Svt play doesn't work for me anymore.

Does anybody else have problems with the plugin?

Hi, are you using the RSS plugin or the Web resource version?

Do you see any items which won't play or are there no items at all?

Thanks for the fast reply!

I use the web resource version of the plug-in and have been for a couple of months. It has been working like a charm, but about two weeks ago I started getting these "there are no titles" messages when I tried to access my svt folders. The videos have mysteriously disappeared and all I'm left with are these four rather crass words. There are no titles.

Ok, I'll have a look. There has probably been a change to the html markup.

The rss feeds follow a defined standard so their format is less likely to be subject to breaking changes. I advice you to use rss feed definitions whenever possible.

Hi everyone,

The web resource plugin, which has been broken for a while due to changed markup, has now been fixed. The updated plugin has been uploaded to the original post of this thread.

But remember folks, you will be better off using the Rss feed plugin which is not subject to breaking markup changes and which will give you correct publishing dates for episodes.

Hi everyone,

For those of you using the Öppet Arkiv plugin, a new version has been posted in that topic:

Previous versions of that plugin no longer work.

Hi,

I got everything running fine through Serviio using the SVT Play plugin except I get an error message saying the file format cannot be played at this time. All other files served through Serviio works just fine, its only the SVT Play streams that arent working. Any ideas?

Does this work anymore for anyone else? It seems that svtplay changed something yesterday, possibly related to detecting ad blocking. I say this because I can also not play their content in the browser, except if I disable adblock plus.

I think all my items are rss bookmarks, should I try the web-resource ones instead?

Thanks for reporting.

If the RSS bookmarks work in the browser but not in Serviio, then the Web resource urls will not work either.

I'll have a look and see if I can detect recent breaking changes.
