Here is an Audio Web Resource Plug-in for Shoutcast.

This 7th version supports all major and minor genres listed on the left side of the http://www.shoutcast.com page and requires the url formats as below:

http://www.shoutcast.com will create a folder containing the top 20 most listened to Stations with their bitrate, genre and number of listeners.

http://www.shoutcast.com?genre=xxxxx will create a folder containing the top 20 stations in genre xxxxx where xxxxx is any of the major or minor Radio Genres listed on the left side of the http://www.shoutcast.com page.
If xxxxx contains an & replace it with a _

http://www.shoutcast.com?search=yyyyy will create a folder containing the top 20 stations where the Station Name and/or Genre contains the search term yyyyy.
If yyyyy contains an & replace it with a _

Additional parameters are supported as follows:
stations=nn will return up to nn stations rather than the default 20 stations.
bitrate=mmm will limit the returned stations to those with bitrates >= mmm

eg: "http://www.shoutcast.com?search=classic r_b&bitrate=128&stations=8" will return the top 8 stations with bitrate >=128 that contain "classic r&b" in either the Station Name or Genre whereas "http://www.shoutcast.com?genre=classic r_b&bitrate=128&stations=8" will only return the top 8 stations with bitrate >=128 in the classic r&b Genre.

It is possible that Shoutcast will return no results for a given search, for example "search=rock" even though "genre=rock" works correctly. You can check this by testing your search on the Shoutcast web page.

first one needs a / at the end as documented..haven't tested others yet..needs mor code for genres etc

Sweet. Any ideas on how to get access to "Show more" items? I wonder if there are parameters one can add to the URL for sorting by bitrate, etc. I liked the old classic version of the shoutcast website.

can someone show me an example url to get me started? I have set it up as a web resource, audio ticked, can't get anything to show up. Help?

I have verified that it works fine per the instructions in the first post.
Due to a Shoutcast change only the MP3 streams displayed so i have upgraded the groovy to Version 2 which now includes the AAC streams as well.

I have found dozens of Internet Radio feeds with VLC... (do not believe they are Shoutcast)

When I find one I like, I get information about the feed address, Right-click) then enter that into Serviio (which is connected to the stereo) ... Listening to Radio Bach right now.

only http://www.shoutcast.com/ works in version 1. genres are on my todo list.

This is an excellent plugin. Got a few requests i would absolutely love!
1. For the audiophiles, is it possible to have the bitrate in brackets, i usually ignore the low bitrate audio streams, example like this Shoutcast app
Possible as an extra option like you did with your other cool plugins
Example http://www.shoutcast.com?display=bitrate can displayed like (128K) 181.FM - POWER 181 -=[: The Hitz Channel
Maybe other users want display=genre or display=listeners

2. Also noticed, using http://www.shoutcast.com/, some of the 6 featured radio dont appear like .977 Hitz

3. The biggest request would be if the plugin can list the number of items requested in Serviio console. On the website the list expand when you press "SHOW MORE", love to hear more

Version 4 posted with bitrate.

Note some featured stations are flashplayer video based and will not display.

There is no way to access "more" from the plug-in.

Can i have any tips for my issue ? im trying to put shoutcast playing while i play my xbox360, but when i try to get the file of radio in music player of xbox i cant find the folder "Online", so... any chance to i put the radio file into a playlist ???
