I have a new version. Just waiting on a couple folks to quickly test it before I post the new version.
Re: Crackle
Hadn't heard from the testers yet, but wanted to post the new version. Let me know if you have any issues.
Re: Crackle
The new version works for me. Thanks!
Re: Crackle
Its acting pretty funny for me... It plays perfectly for about 4 minutes and then crashes. Maybe a transcoding issue? It doesn't happen with Hulu streams, but they are likely in a different format.
UPDATE: Wanted to add that I have an LG BD390 Blu-ray player that I'm streaming to. Seems that people who own these just always seem to have problems streaming to them, regardless of the media server. May be a lost cause - that's what I get for being an early adopter...

Re: Crackle
Greetings all. I have been playing with DLNA steaming from my network for over a year. Even though I have been using Serviio for that time (running Windows Server 2003 x64) I just discovered the fact there are plug-ins available . I have tried several plug-ins, so I know the basics are working. However, with Crackle, I can't watch the entire movie. It seems to work perfectly for anywhere from 5-15 minutes, then just stops.
I have tried two playback devices. Both Panasonic, a Viera ST50 Plasma (one year old, current firmware) and BDP-110 Blu-Ray player (current firmware).
On the TV, it plays as listed above. All movies are listed from Crackle no problem, and I can play any of them. They just stop playing after 5-15 minutes.
On the BD player, I see the movie list, but get the unable to open file error.
In Serviio (v 1.0.1), I have the TV profile set to Panasonic Viera E/S/ST/VT (2011) and the BD player to Panasonic Viera (2010).
Any suggestions? I really like this ability to stream from the Internet. I have a 12Mbit DSL line, and other on-line streaming (Netflix and Amazon) work perfectly.
Thanks! Dan

Are you having the same issue with other plugins or just Crackle?

It may be more, but I have an unrelated problem on the BluRay player. I can't scroll the list of channels beyond the first page. All I see are my local hard drives, Crackle and one other plug-in. Neither of the plug-ins play (always Unable to Play File), and when I try to scroll to the next page to see other plug-ins I get an unable to connect to server message. Like I said, it works on my Panasonic TV no problem.

Well, it seems I resolved the scrolling issue on the BD player by using a different profile. However, I still can't play anything from the online folder, regardless of which plug-in is being used.
But yes, I still can't play any movie on Crackle (using my TV, which works with the online stuff) that will continue for more than a few minutes. For example, Easy Rider (dumb movie) will barely make it past the opening credits before it stops and I am returned to the selection screen.

I'm running into the same issue here. It happens when I play the movies via VLC or my WDTV Live. It doesn't seem to do it with any other plugins, just Crackle.
Re: Crackle
same issue for me on 2 different devices, plays for a few minutes then exits.
Re: Crackle
Anyone else having problems with this plugin? It's not working for me. Thanks!
Re: Crackle
This is a total guess.. but I think this may be happening when a commercial is due to play in the stream
Re: Crackle
I've noticed that Mike used some info from the Plex plugin to create the Serviio plugin. I've playing Crackle via Plex right now, so it appears that Crackle can be streamed. I tried comparing some of the Plex code to the Serviio code, and I see some changes to the URLs within the code. However, I don't understand enough about how RSS streaming works to make any changes. If someone want's to attempt a fix, I could attach the Plex files for assistance.

Thanks Mike. Looks to be working fine now. I haven't watched a complete movie yet. I'll shoot for that this week.

Having a problem with this version. For some reason, the plugin is still showing up as a feed plugin.

This particular plug-in will only work with crackle.com. It does not recognize the non-US web site URL you listed here. I tried it just in case, but no such luck. It would have to be modified for your particular web site.

Re: Crackle
Hey there! Brand new to using Serviio this way, and really excited to see Crackle may be a possibility on my Pivos AIOS media streamer, THANK YOU!!! I've installed the plugin, and used the second (longer) URL from the first post in this thread. Crackle shows up as a long list of films (some other URL for the TV eps?), and selecting a film, I'm happily watching '3:10 to Yuma'! Wait...starring Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong? Okay, let's try '20,000,000 Miles to Earth'. Aaaaaand 'Three Worlds of Gulliver' is playing. Habbawah? The plugin seems to work fine, but what's going on with the actual list in relation to what film streams? Any thoughts?
