I've been using Serviio for a while now but I just discovered the joy of Serviio plugins. I've installed two plugins: cbs and discovery channel. The discovery channel works beautifully. The CBS, on the other hand, has some issues. I get video but no audio.

FYI, I have Sharp TV. The plugin didn't seem to work with that renderer profile so I've modified the original online transcoding script by cutting and pasting various scripts from other renderer profiles without avail.

I am about to pull my hair out. Any help and/or insight would be appreciated.

@Apostate, which country are you from?
Please provide your logs, should show errors if videos are not there.
Use the latest v7 from the main post - viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5401

I am in US. I am using the latest plugin. Specifically, I am trying to view Hawaii Five-O. The videos are there. I am able to see the video. The problem is I don't hear the audio.

I've tried to transcode the whatever audio in the video stream to ac3 and mp3, tried to limit the audio and video bitrate with no luck.

Where and how do I access the logs?

Thank you, Xmantium. I figured out how to check the log but I didn't see any errors. Nonetheless, I finally managed to get the audio working. Apparently, Sharp Aquos renderer profile was missing some media format profiles for mp4. I copied the media format profiles for mp4 from the generic DLNA section and pasted them into Sharp Aquos profile and, voila, everything is as should be. :D

Apostste can you explain how to do this? I am streaming through a Sony BDV-E570, and am having the same audio issue (video seems to work fine, just no sound). I downloaded the new plugin V7. Windows 8 is my OS. Thanks in advance for the help!!

(edit 9/26/13): Appears to be either a Plugin issue or a CBS issue as I tried using the iPad app "AcePlayer" with the same results - video but no audio. Hulu streams and video from my hard drive work fine on both iPad and Blu-Ray player.

My apologies for not replying sooner, jidrobbins. I've been out of town for the past week.

What I did was copy the following from generic DLNA profile to the media format profile section in Sharp profile:

<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/mp4">AVC_MP4_HP_HD_AAC</MediaFormatProfile>
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/mp4">AVC_MP4_LPCM</MediaFormatProfile>
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/mp4">MPEG4_P2_MP4_ASP_AAC</MediaFormatProfile>

Save and restart Serviio service and you should be good to go. I run Windows 7 but hopefully it will work for you as well.

P.s. You know to stop the service before changing profile, etc., right?

This thing works like a charm on my X-box, but on my Vizio Smart TV I can see the show listed but when I try to play it nothing happens. Not even an error in the log. I'm using the Vizio Profile. Any ideas on what I can try?

Thanks for the reply! That might be a bit advanced for me :D are those changes made to the plugin?

I'm still getting no sound on CBS shows. I looked at my log (attached) and I'm getting this:

2013-10-07 18:04:39,046 WARN [WebResourceParser] Plugin CBS.com returned no value for resource item 'null'

Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

This is not a plugin issue.
You need to use the right profile for your TV from the Serviio interface.
Try the one for your TV model, and if it doesn't work use the generic.
If that doesn't work, you need to edit the profiles.xml file in the Serviio config folder.

I ended up reinstalling Serviio and now I'm getting sound again.

I git hawaii five 0 and other shows to work. All these shows show the url format
%%http://www.cbs.com/shows/hawaii_five_0/video/

on the CBS website and work fine but can anyone tell me how to get the 'tv classics' section to work. Wanted to watch Enterprise and they have all the seasons on CBS but can't get the episodes with the above URL format.
On the TV it shows the error 'CBS:carousel ID not found'

Hello.. Been on here a while reading up. Finally got Serviio working.. However one thing I need is CBS. I have tried all the CBS.Groovys files in this thread.. I think... I cannot get them to work. Anyone care to tell me what I may be doing wrong, and which cbs.groovy is the correct one.. I have a Sony BDP-s5100 Actually 2... I cannot get any thing from CBS to load.. I do have the system set for web resources...

Registered Copy.. Thanks... Dumped DISHNET yesterday. !

Version 7 on the main post is the latest - download/file.php?id=4181
Plugin working fine for me

Looking at you log is says
2014-02-11 18:13:36,936 INFO [PluginCompilerThread] Added Web Resouce plugin CBS.com (CBS.groovy), version: 1
you have version 1 installed, just copy over version 7

Is it me, or are the CBS links down/changed ? I checked tonight and haven't been able to get any playable files on any CBS programs. They were playing last week.

Never mind. Sunday and Monday kept getting "no playable files" . Today all of the CBS shows are now available. Not sure what happened, but things are back to normal on CBS feeds.

Any hope for NBC or ABC ?

Hey I can't the plugins to work. Am I suppose to do one at a time or is there something else I have to do other than put them in the plugin folder?
