Ok, now it's ok. If I use http:/127.0.0.1:8904 isn't ok, but with local ip like in your example i can create nn differentes instances of sopcast in execution and i can see all in wdtvlive and samsung tv.

Thanks.

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

I'm running sopcast on my desktop PC 192.168.1.101 and run serviio on my ubuntu media server box 192.168.1.106. I've changed the reference in the groovy plugin from localhost to 192.168.1.101 and the streams are now lost on all the media playback devices. However all say 'unable to playback' ! I've got Sony 2011 tvs and a PS3, the firewalls are open and VLC can play the steams 192.168.1.101:8902 between the pcs.

Does anyone else have a split setup and got it working ? Or working on Sony 2011 series tvs ?

What's that got to do with SOPCAST? Please post in a relevant thread.

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Is this plugin compatible with the Xbox 360?. I am asking because Santa brought me an Xbox 360 and when I try to use the plugin the Xbox refuses to play the streams saying that the content is not compatible.

I have been enjoying this superb plugin for several months with my Samsung C7000 TV where it works like a charm, however it does not work with my Xbox. Other online plugins are working without issues with my Xbox (Ustream, Hahasports…) but not Sopcast.

Thanks for the support.

Hi, I have a Samsung ES7000 and when I play sports channels through Sopcast, the signal is cut too soon. Are there any changes that apply to avoid this problem? Thanks

have you modified your profile in the way explained in the first post for Samsung C/D/E users?

Note for Samsung C/D/E profile users:

Due to a Serviio bug in 1.0.1, mpegts streams with h264 video and mp2 audio, fail in transcoding. To fix that, add the second line shown below following first line shown below in the first section of the C/D/E profile <Transcoding> entry. You may also add the third line, and then h264 mpegps as well as h264 mpegts and wmv.asf streams will transcode to MPEG2VIDEO making all these typical SOPCAST streams compatible and eliminate the need to refresh when switching between them.

Code:
<Matches container="mp4" vCodec="mpeg4" aCodec="lpcm" />
<Matches container="mpegts" vCodec="h264" /> <!-- jhb50 fixes serviio h264.ts to h264.ts transcode bug -->
<Matches container="mpeg" vCodec="h264" /> <!-- optional -->

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

No. As it says that is a 1.0.1 bug fix, which was fixed in V1.1, so is no longer required.

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Really? The only way I get continuos playback without dropouts in my C7000 is with that modded profile and, yes, I am running Serviio 1.1.......

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

It depends on what Sopcast stream you are playing.
BloodZ is notorious for streaming a non standard avc/mp2.mpegps stream which Serviio plays natively on the Samsung but is prone to dropouts. Everyone else uses avc/mp3.mpegts streams. The profile changes above would cause that stream and any other avc stream to be transcoded to mpeg2video/ac3.mpegts by ffmpeg before it is sent to the Samsung which may be why they play better for you.

Can you post what streams you are playing that fail without these changes and their ffmpeg -i attributes?

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

It seems that the above referenced bug is not fixed in 1.1 so the profile patch would still be required. It should be fixed in 1.2 which is now in beta test. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7141&view=unread#unread

It would be good if you could post the debug log of the ffmpeg command used by Serviio when the Sopcast file is played without using the patch. This would allow me to verify that this is the case. Thanks

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Of course I will do! I really appreciate your efforts with all the plugins you have developed, especially with this one which is my favorite. I will post the debug log during the week end when I use mostly this plugin to watch the football matches.

Thanks for your support!

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

As promised find attached the debug log file.

http://www.mediafire.com/?upzbs6jvejsefld

I have tried 3 different SOPCAST channels:
The first one, was the Sopcast channel 133000, Sop TV1 [RU] streaming at 3,000 Kbps bitrate. 4 cuts in a 20 minutes playback
The second one is the Zhujang TV streaming at 1071 kpbs, no cuts in a 10 minutes frame playback
The last one is the channel 141327 Digi Sport1 [RO] streaming at 1500 kbps. Continuous cuts, it ended up refusing to play it.

All the channels were played on the PC absolutely perfect

Regards

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Thanks.

As best as I can tell, without the profile changes, Serviio 1.1 will attempt to play the mpegts streams natively and your log confirms that, even though live streams should all be remuxed to mpegts.

While the profile changes were intended to fix a 1.0.1 bug (which your log confirms no longer exists in 1.1) they also result in transcoding the h264(avc) streams to mpeg2video.

I can only conclude from that, that the Samsung does not tolerate any glitches in the native avc/mpegts streams and drops out, but will play the streams if first transcoded to mpeg2video/mpegts.

I do not have the bandwidth to test SOPCAST at present, but it would be interesting to know if Samsung would play the avc/mpegts streams if they were remuxed to mpegts by serviio rather than played natively.

These additions to the Online Transcoding section would that, and handle the Bloodz avc/mpegps streams

<Video targetContainer="mpegts" >
<Matches container="mpegts" vCodec="h264" />
<Matches container="mpeg" vCodec="h264" />
</Video>

Otherwise I would suggest you add the following to your online section in place of the prior patch to cause that transcoding to occur.

<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetVCodec="mpeg2video">
<Matches container="mpegts" vCodec="h264" />
<Matches container="mpeg" vCodec="h264" />
</Video>
