Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Hello. First of all, I must say thank you for your work.

I have a Samsung BD-F6500 (blu-ray player with Smart TV). Well, but the problem here is that the sopcast streaming cuts off a few minutes after it starts. Usually, it works fine during 2 minutes, but then my BD displays a message: "Check your net connection". Before you say anything about my net connection, this is through wifi, but except the sopcast streaming, everything works fine: direct streaming, and other platforms like Plex... So, I don't think is a net problem.

Yesterday, I checked again, and I disabled de "Transcode" option in the Serviio-Console. It looked like it solved the problem, because this time the streaming lasted 8 or 9 minutes! :D But suddenly, again the message: "check your net connection" :cry:

I have tryed including the new line to the profile user, but no success.

Then, I turned on again the "Transcode" option... Other 10 minutes of streaming, happy again... but bad news at last: "Check your net connection" :?

During the streaming, pressing the "info" button on my BD player, it shows some data, including the source, and always is the Sopcast#1 source, it never jumps to other item.

Any idea about this? :roll:

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Hello,

First, sorry for my bad english, i'm French / Portuguese

I think i have one solution for "Sopcast Stream" for Samsung TV. For me, with Samsung TV Serie F, after many hours and combination, it's OK.

MY CONFIG :
- Servio 1.4.1.2 (works on 1.3.1 too)
- Samsung TV Serie F

TEST :
- With this Sopcast Plugin :
* Without modif profile, without transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes (Sopcast #1 to #2, ect... )
* Without modif profile, with transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes (Sopcast #1 to #2, ect... )
* With modif profile (first post) , without transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes (Sopcast #1 to #2, ect... )
* With modif profile (first post), with transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes (Sopcast #1 to #2, ect... )

- With the classic adress (192.168.*.*:8902)

* Without modif profile, without transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes
* Without modif profile, with transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes
* With modif profile (first post) , without transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes
* With modif profile (first post), with transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes

So, I tried an alternative solution and IT'S WORKS without disconnects :

REQUIREMENT :
- VLC (an old version in my case because i have an old laptop and this version is great for my laptop for 720p movies/streams - 2.0.8 - but i think it's good with a most recent version)
- Sopcast
- Serviio

SETTINGS :

* In VLC :
- Tools -> Preferences (and active Advanced Parametre at botom) -> "Flux de Sortie" (i donk know the traduction in English VLC so, a pic :
Image
Add
  Code:
#duplicate{dst="http{mux=ts,dst=:8913}",dst=display}

( 8913 is my port, you can change if you want but i will use this port for my explaination)
and Save

* In Serviio :
- You can install my modified profile in attachment (it's 1.3.1 profile but works great on 1.4.1.2)
- Choose Samsung TV / Player (C/D/E/F-Series)
- Enable Transcode (i dont tried without transcode but now it's working so i will change anything)
- Add in "Library" -> "Online Source"
Image
( 192.168.1.66 is the IP of my computer, change with your computer ip )

* In Sopcast :
- In "Options" (1 on the picture), choose VLC as External Player (2 on the picture)
- Start your stream and when is playing, start this video in VLC with the button under the video (3 on the picture)
Image

After started the stream, go to Serviio on "Library" -> "Online Source" and Refresh the Link
You need to keep VLC open on your PC during the streaming

After +/- one minute, start the stream on your TV !
I hope it will be work for you. If you need more informations, i'm here.

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Very Clever! Use VLC to read the Sopcast stream and use the Advanced Option "Stream Output"
to send the stream to the Samsung TV, effectively buffering it and eliminating the glitches in the raw stream that the Samsung cannot handle. Well done!

- Servio 1.4.1.2 (works on 1.3.1 too)
- Samsung TV Serie F

TEST :
- With this Sopcast Plugin :
* Without modif profile, without transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes (Sopcast #1 to #2, ect... )
* Without modif profile, with transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes (Sopcast #1 to #2, ect... )
* With modif profile (first post) , without transcode : K-O - Disconnected each 5/10 minutes (Sopcast #1 to #2, ect... )

- Sopcast
- Serviio

SETTINGS :

* In VLC :
- Tools -> Preferences (and active Advanced Parametre at botom) -> "Flux de Sortie" (i donk know the traduction in English VLC so, a pic :
Image
Add
  Code:
#duplicate{dst="http{mux=ts,dst=:8913}",dst=display}

( 8913 is my port, you can change if you want but i will use this port for my explaination)
and Save

* In Serviio :

* In Sopcast :

Good night gabrielra .

I use Serviio 1.4.1.2 Pro After seeing some tutorials , type vintilla and now I here :
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=7249&p=91710 # p91688

with the title : " SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE " I tried several times and still can not .

Excuse my ignorance , but I did it the way you told us .

VLC 2.0.6 :
1. open VLC
2 . Select Tools , Preferences
3 . Under Display Settings , select All ( lower left corner) . In other versions of
      VLC can be labeled Advanced)
4 . Select the output stream in the left pane .
5 . Add the following to the standard output stream chain:

# duplicate { dst = display , dst = " transcode { acodec = mpga , ab = 128 } : http { mux = ts , dst = : 8913 } " }

6 . Press Save .
7 . Select Media File Open and play any video file . This is important - the flow should
      be running for the next step .

SERVIIO PRO 1.4.1.2 :
1 . Serviio Console Open
2 . Choose Library , online sources and press Add
. 3 Enter the details as below , and press check flow URL :
 IP OF MY MACHINE , COMPUTER : 10.1.1.7

Then put http:// 10.1.1.7:8913 - http:// 10.1.1.7:8080 - http:// 10.1.1.7:8081 -
http:// 10.1.1.7:1234 , liberated at the firewall , I disabled firewall and anti -virus , but did not give Serviio ok when I click " Check Stream URL " . Only gave X have not found the IP .

Where am I wrong?

I do not want to see tv channels not just want to Stream using Serviio with VLC playing from computer to TV , only video files . But I did not install " SopCast 3.8.3 " as the end of your post .

Even though I do not want to see tv channels , so I can see the videos files that are on your computer , using the Serviio + VLC , I also need to install " SopCast 3.8.3 " ?

Thank you.

--------------------------------------------------------------

# Duplicate { dst = affichage , dst = " transcode { acodec = mpga , ab = 128 } : http { mux = ts , dst = : 8913 } "}

6 . Appuyez sur Enregistrer .
7 . Sélectionnez Fichier Open Media et jouer n'importe quel fichier vidéo . Ceci est important - le débit devrait
      être candidat à la prochaine étape .

Serviio PRO 1.4.1.2 :
1 . Serviio Ouvrir la console

Puis mettre http:// 10.1.1.7:8913 - http:// 10.1.1.7:8080 - http:// 10.1.1.7:8081 -

Merci.

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

If you want only stream VLC to your TV,

On VlC, tools -> preferences -> output stream (advanced parameters), add " #duplicate{dst="http{mux=ts,dst=:8913}",dst=display} " (without " " )
Play the stream and keep VLC running

On Serviio -> library -> online source -> add
Choose LIVE STREAM on Source Type and add : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8913
(xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP of your computer)
save/add

Then, right click on the new element of your library -> refresh

Wait 1 minute and the stream is on your TV

Edit : but if you just watch movies files from your computer, it's more easyer to add movies files on your library, without online source. it's more for live streaming

Hi friend. Thanks for your attention and patience. I have not yet completed the walkthrough that you inform us.

Now I configured VLC + Serbian.

In VLC, I added the information:

"# Duplicate {dst =" http {mux = ts, dst =: 8913} ", dst = display}"

in: Tools -> Preferences -> Display Settings -> Detailed -> output stream.

Open a video file and let ...

In Serviio added the information in the "Online Sources" tab:

Source Type: Live Streaming

Feed URL: My IP: xx.x.x.x: 8913

Clicked: Check the URL and V appeared green. Signal that worked communication with the Serviio VLC.

Then I went in VLC:

View (View) -> Playlist (PlayList) -> Network (Local Network) -> Universal Plug'n'Play. Then appeared the Serviio + Folders and Sub Folders. So far as this Ventilla showed in the post.

But still unable to play the video file to this Smart Tv "Universal Plug'n'Play" option, where I see the Serviio appears with your folders I open any of them and I click on any video file, the video wheel , Normal appears in the VLC screen, but only on computer. But the Smart TV does not appear. Nothing happens.
 What is still missing, I could not understand?

Please can tell me now, starting from where I could get after the "Universal Plug'n'Play" part, which I can already see the Serviio + folders and files. What is the step so that I can play for the tv?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Salut l'ami.

"# Duplicate {dst =" http {mux = ts, dst =: 8913} ", dst = affichage}"

Merci.

DenyAll, good night. I suppose maybe you're already tired and finding myself a boring, excuse me please.

I understand and know that you did the tests and worked on a samsung smart tv, as you mentioned in your first post.
And my tv is a Philips Smart. We soon learn that the types and modes settings are different paths.
But ultimately end up in the same and we're talking the same language, for we are all talking about DLNA.
So do not worry and do not worry if my tv is a smart Philips, Samsung, Lg etc, etc..
Also already know that VLC 2.1.3 does not work those functions. So I went back to version 2.0.6 or 2.0.8, as you say in the tutorial. Also use the latest version of Serviio 1.4.1.2 Pro

What I need to know from you is:

In VLC, you just made: - settings: * In VLC: - Tools -> Preferences (active and advanced Parametre the botom) -> "Flux Sortie" (i donk know VLC traduction in English so a pic: Add.
  Code:
# Duplicate {dst = "http {mux = ts, dst =: 8913}", dst = display}
(8913 is my port, you can change if you want, but I will use this port to my explanation)
and Save.

Or you was also at: -> Tools -> Preferences -> Detail -> Main Interfaces and checked the box: Web / http -> Lua interpreter etc.?

In Serviio, you just made: - Choose Samsung TV / player (C / D / E / F-Series) - Enable Transcode (I have not tried without transcoding, but now it's working so I'm going to change anything) - Add on "Library" -> "Source Online" (192.168.1.66 is the IP of my computer, change your ip to the computer) * On Sopcast: - In "Options" (1 in the picture), choose VLC as external player ( 2 in the image) - Get your flow and when it is playing, get this video in VLC with (3 pictured) button below the video Then I started running, go to Serviio in "Library" -> "Source Online" and update You need to keep the link open VLC on your PC while streaming After + / - one minute, then launch the stream on your TV.

Anyway, you made other changes to the settings of VLC and Serviio, or only those that you reported?

Modified or opened doors in Modem?

For the steps to configure VLC + Serviio tells you how I did it. The Serviio find VLC and VLC finds Serviio, as posted by Ventilla picture.

Just have not got it after all, play for the tv. Something else missing to configure, is in Serviio, either in VLC, is the Modem?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DenyAll, bonne nuit.

  Code:
# Duplicate {dst = "http {mux = ts, dst =: 8913}", dst = affichage}

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Thanks to all previous posts.

In order to play audio in a Sony Bravia 2013 I replaced the output stream to:

# duplicate { dst = display , dst = " transcode{vcodec=mp1v, vb=1024, acodec=mpga, ab=128} : http { mux = ts , dst = : 8913 } " }

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

I have a related problem. I stream the http://127.0.0.1:8902 address locally using the Serviio online resource tab. I can load it in my TV however there are glitches in the picture/sound. Sometime the playback is slow and then speeds up then slows down etc. Do you know how to fix that problem? I tried this plugin which works but the same glitches appear. The stream appears correctly in my Sopcast screen. Any ideas?

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Perhaps your cpu is too slow to transcode the stream for the tv, or your network cannot handle the stream data rate. Post ffmpeg for the sopcast stream.

I think that the following is what you're asking for. Thanks for your help.

  Code:

yes, that's a high res stream which will tax your resources. Most streams are 640x480 which 1/4 of the size.

Isn't there any way to buffer the stream and transmit with some delay?

It is buffered but seems local network is not fast enough to keep it filled. Try wired rather than wireless.

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Hi,

I've got a Sony W605B and Serviio (1.4.1.2). I've installed the .groovy file and followed all the instructions but there's nothing in the Sopcast folder, even after repeatedly refreshing the stream and restarting the whole server, even the tv. Previously tried to just add a Live Stream with http://127.0.0.1:8902 but with no success, maybe that's the reason the plugin doesn't help.

I've previously used Serviio to stream some movies and it worked just fine.

Thanks for the help and the plugin. :)

Cheers

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Hi!
I'm interested about sopcast plugin, mostly by facility to restart playback automatically when stream is dead.
The idea is to make somehow that when sopcast streaming is changed, to automatically reload by TV.
Here this plugin seem to be perfect for that, but unfortunatelly, not work, at least in my expectation.
I have installed plugin, everything play fine, but when kill current instance of sp-sc-auth and start new one (same ports) my tv (sony 40w605B) show "Playback not available".
When press "Return" on my remote, i see that is selected second item in sopcast folder. If press on it, playback start with new stream.
But i like if is possibil that stream restart without intervetion using remote. Is this possibil?
Maybe is in upnp protocol something to force TV to reload stream?

Thanks for your work!!!
