I guess you did not test it. That link will not get it for you. The following is the correct link for the SOPCAST stream sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/133007

Profile is all correct showing correct viera profile E/ST/VT (2011) and I have added online resource profile with URL http://www.sopcast.com?port=8902&items=7

Then started Sopcast channel, stream is playing fine, however nothing ever appears in my Online folder on the TV under the serviio media server

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

You would need to post your debug log to show what Serviio is doing.
First try the command ffmpeg -i http://localhost:8902 to ensure that it works.

Not with this plugin you didn't. That is a browser link for playing on your pc and has nothing to do with Serviio playing on a dlna client so should not have been posted here.

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Probably when you've tried the link had expired, I send you back to the main page x football events, when the event 'active else is written in green online click and open sopcast quality' is always great, try again and let me know.
This' is the link : http://livefootball.ws/

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

OK, now I understand. This site provides links to Sopcast links however it is in Russian, only links to Russian language broadcasts primarily of soccer, and only displays Russian time.

I did not include it in the list of sites in the first post that provide Sopcast links like hahasport.com and wiziwig.tv because of these limitations.

For example for the Norwich/WestHam match playing right now this site only links to 2 Sopcast streams both in Russian, whereas Wiziwig.tv links to more than 40 streams, 13 of which are Sopcast with broadcasts in English, Romanian, Spanish and Dutch, and the time zone can be set to your local time.

The site however may be of interest to those who are interested in other Russian football matches broadcast in Russian that are exclusive to http://livefootball.ws/

@ Wildrush - I'd appreciate if advertising of your plug-ins pack was removed from this sopcast plugin thread. The instructions for using this plugin are contained in the first post of this thread and not in your pack, and users should download from this thread to be sure of the latest Serviio plug-in.

@Chrisnewton - Yes you need to install the Sopcast application first, and then add this Sopcast Plugin to Serviio. I've updated the first post to include these points:
To use this groovy, you must first install the SOPCAST application, and add the attached groovy to the Serviio plugins directory, then just add the URL http://www.sopcast.com?port=nnnn&items=mm to the console online sources as a video webresource.
(where nnnn is typically 8902, and mm is the number of Sopcast items you want in the Sopcast folder. Default=7)

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

You need to read the documentation. Click the big "SERVIIO" above and read particularly "Managing online resources"

I put the groove file in plugins. Then I added online source under Library -> Source type: Web Resource, Source URL: http://www.sopcast.com?port=8902&items=7, Display name: SopcastWeb. What else should I do? I dont get any list in the "SopcastWeb" folder on my TV. Sopcast is running with a stream.

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

The folder should have 7 items if the sopcast stream was running when it was added and accessable at 8902. If not running do a refresh. Try the command ffmpeg -i http://localhost:8902 to see if it finds the stream. Otherwise you will need to attach a DEBUG log so we can see what is happening.

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

@jhb if i was to post every single plugins instructions in my plugins pack post it would be a very long post and very hard to read and make sense of what your need to do  Also every plugin is up to date in my pack otherwise whats the point in having one :) I didnt think making a post to point chris newton in the right direction was wrong of me but ive edited it anyway just in case i upset anybody :?

Re: SOPCAST VIDEO WEB RESOURCE

Hello.
After posting the problems i had here with the other way watching sopcast via Serviio i followed Xmantium advice and checked this topic.
I've installed the plugin and added the link mentioned before ("http://www.sopcast.com?port=8902&items=7") and the result was the same as before, no items appear in the Online folder.

Any ideas on solving this problem would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
