Thanks jhb50: looking forward this update.
But, am I the only one with this issue? In current situation I can play just very few files?
Most of them are played with 007i.net URL and therefore fail: is it not failing in your case, or Servio never happen to play files with 007i.net ?

Thanks for this.
It indeed seems more videos are being played with usegen=1: none seem rejected at launch.
However, there are frequent buffering pauses.

Focusing on the videos that play with both usegen=0 and usegen=1, there are buffering pauses in the latter case, whereas there are no with usegen=0.
Strange, no?

There must be something wrong with this it shows new vids but they will not play on the tv or serviio media browser, It was spot on until I updated to v10

yes usegen=1 works really great.
Buffering issues I reported earlier were probably due to my tests process (changing parameters back&forth, and caching issues).
Now I stick with usegen=1, all works fine.
Sure start is a bit slow, but that's ok.
Thanks.

Interesting update ...

Both my media players can see the channel, and generate thumbnails

howeber when trying to play / stream the file, i get the following errors

1) Communication lost with your PC check connections etc

2) on the second player, i just get a loading symbol, and nothing else.

Both are connected wirelessly to my network.... neither has any probs with any of the other stuff i stream

Which version of Serviio are you using?
1.2.1 fixes some 1.2 networking issues...

I have been getting similar errors.

I get the thumbnails and the video description, once I click on it after a few seconds I get "video either corrupt or...", or I get "no playable file".

I haven't gotten it to play at all since v8; even then it was very sometimey...don't know why some are having more success than me and others like yourself are having issues.

"Works for me!" comments don't do anything to fix the issues, but i guess when you're the plugin creator you can take a piss poor posture, right?

Anyway I'm posting my log files in case someone wants to take a serious look at why it works for some and not for others.

FYI I am running Serviio 1.2.1

And you expect me to help you? You can't even be bothered to follow the advice I did give you. And yes the raw streams that your ffmpeg won't play, play fine for me, so it has nothing to do with Serviio or the plugin. Try reading the wiki and test them yourself. You might even learn something. Don't bother to ask for more.

Exactly the piss poor attitude I expected...typical.

Which is exactly why I stopped posting questions before. Your "Holyer than thou" attitude stinks!

As the Joker said to Batman..."Why so serious?"

I am seeing the index out of range thing again. I have updating Java to 7.21, reinstalled the pluging and restarted serviio. Here is a portion of the log.
