Guys, thanks for this. Any idea how I could transcode to a lower bit rate before re-transmitting?
Re: Torrrent Stream Video Web Resource
+1 for torrent stream (ace stream) server support
(I'm using Serviio on Synology NAS. A temp solution with pc server described above works, but would be great to use only NAS without pc to access torrent streams)

Re: Torrrent Stream Video Web Resource
Are you on Samsung?. If so read the SOPCAST thread, the solution for drops in C/D/E series works also for Acestream (at least for me).

i am on samsung and have C/D/E enabled. sopcast works flawless but i also had to create a "web resource" for this as it dropped out too...

Then:
Note for Samsung C/D/E profile users:
Due to a Serviio bug in 1.0.1, mpegts streams with h264 video and mp2 audio, fail in transcoding. To fix that, add the second line shown below following first line shown below in the first section of the C/D/E profile <Transcoding> entry. You may also add the third line, and then h264 mpegps as well as h264 mpegts and wmv.asf streams will transcode to MPEG2VIDEO making all these typical SOPCAST streams compatible and eliminate the need to refresh when switching between them.
Code:
<Matches container="mp4" vCodec="mpeg4" aCodec="lpcm" />
<Matches container="mpegts" vCodec="h264" /> <!-- jhb50 fixes serviio h264.ts to h264.ts transcode bug -->
<Matches container="mpeg" vCodec="h264" /> <!-- optional -->

Re: Torrrent Stream Video Web Resource
You could set up Ace Stream to duplicate the stream to asf format which will be readable by servioo :

Re: Torrrent Stream Video Web Resource
Help! I've got the stream working fine, even turned off the stream in AceStream so it's not showing on the screen. I click on the 'Check URL' and it has a green tick, I also run up VLC and put in the URL and that works too streaming on the localhost.
However, on my Smart TV I can't see it in the Video->Online folder. I can see my Sopcast one in there but not the Acestream one I've set up. I've stopped and restarted Serviio but still nothing. Any ideas?
Mike
