Error playing LONG RTMP links !

I understand that some of the links expire. But these one worked in VLC Player but not via serviio. What I am missing ?

Is Serviio not compatible to play long format as below ? or how to make it work ?

I have ubuntu 12.04 and installed all the plug-ins (ffmpeg, rtmpdump, x264), also have groovy in the plug0in folder.

any advice appreciated.

rtmp://$OPT:rtmp-raw=rtmp://38.96.175.173:1935/live playpath=00010.stream swfUrl=http://veohcast.tv/veohcast.tv.swf pageUrl=http://www.veohcast.tv/videoV.php?n=00010.stream

Re: Error playing LONG RTMP links !

VLC is unable to open the MRL 'rtmp://$OPT:rtmp-raw=rtmp://38.96.175.173:1935/live playpath=00010.stream swfUrl=http://veohcast.tv/veohcast.tv.swf pageUrl=http://www.veohcast.tv/videoV.php?n=00010.stream'. Check the log for details.

Incorrect rtmp url format. Regardless the link is invalid now.

RTMP_Connect0, failed to connect socket. 10060 (Unknown error)

Re: Error playing LONG RTMP links !

I see. But can we even play such long URL ? if its valid ?

can you point out what's wrong in the format or points me towards post where I can follow the correct format ?

I am trying to find all the Indian channels but somehow they are all invalid or have such long format that I suspect it can not be supported

any advice appreciated

Re: Error playing LONG RTMP links !

Do not put "'rtmp://$OPT:rtmp-raw=" in front of the rtmp:// link.

Re: Error playing LONG RTMP links !

Both links are fine... did you add them as livestreams?

Re: Error playing LONG RTMP links !

You could turn on detailed logging but as I said they play fine. Just add those links in the console as livestreams.

it doesn't even show up on my TV. I guess something didn't install correctly

But I should point out that I do have other live streams that are working just fine.

Re: Error playing LONG RTMP links !

I confirm that I've already had trouble with some RTMP streams.
I've noticed something in common, which is a "pageUrl" parameter that contains an equal symbol! My suspect is some bug parsing the RTMP parameters because you'll have something like: rtmp://**/ app=** pageUrl=**=**

Valid pageUrls do not contain = characters.

Re: Error playing LONG RTMP links !

I'm sorry, but I've came across multiple links with GET parameters in the page url, by inspecting the handshake in wiresharhk. Removing everything after the "?" did not solve.

Re: Error playing LONG RTMP links !

rtmp://$OPT:rtmp-raw=rtmp://38.96.175.173:1935/live playpath=00010.stream swfUrl=http://veohcast.tv/veohcast.tv.swf pageUrl=http://www.veohcast.tv/videoV.php?n=00010.stream

this syntax is for a program called Simpletv it plays most of the live streams under windows, one of the best programs, if the developer would add for it the ability to restream what it plays, it would have made from it a super star program, make sure to omit the rtmp://$OPT:rtmp-raw= part from all the simpletv links before adding it to servio
