How to define a profile for Philips 46PFL9705 TV set

Hi,

I recently bought a TV and am playing around with Serviio. But it seems that I need a profile file to optimize it, because for instance divx playing does not work (which does work with Media Player streaming). In the forum I did see that you could send protocol info of the device to get help with that. Well... here it is :-)

Hope you can help, thanks in advance,
Peter

GetProtocolInfo of Philips 46PFL9705 TV set:

  Code:

OK,
Thanks for the GetProtocolInfo result.

First, would you select "Generic DLNA profile" and define which files doesn't work.

Do you have a specific test set? I will gladly test those for you.

The files I tested now are avi files which containg divx encoded video. Those do not work. When I use streaming on a Windows PC using Media Player, the same files do play fine on the TV set. So I suppose the TV supports this format natively. I also would like to stream iso files, but not sure if Serviio can do this.

I was hoping that given the formats that Serviio supports and the sink output of the TV set a profile could be generated which automatically covers all supported formats, including need for transcoding et cetera. But given your reply it will be trial and error while building a profile, is that correct?

Regards,
Peter
