Profile for 24PFL3507H

Hi,

i'm new to serviio and i don't succed to let it work completely with my new TV.
I've succed to manage the profile.xml for recognized the TV with <user-Agent>IPI</user-Agent>.
But with all profiles i have test only my .avi files and .mpg files are show in NavTree. My .mkv and .mp4 files aren't list.
I have test PS3MR and Twonky. They both show all my files but their configs files are too different from serviio profiles and i don't understand how to port them on serviio :-(
mime-type related pb ?

What i know about the TV :

It play .mkv but without header stripping
it play .avi (xvid) but without GMC
It don't play avi (divx) but if i change the FourCC to Xvid it work
It don't play .mp4 (trough DLNA. Work on USB) but if i remux to .ts or .mkv it work
It don't play .mkv with header stripping bur if i remux to .mkv without compression it work

Is there someone who succed with this Tv ?

Oups :

log file attach...

There's 13 tests files in my folder only 5 are visible on the TV (four .avi and one .mpg) the others are not show in the TV tree ( .mkv and .mp4)
I try a lot of different mime-type like x-mkv, x-matroska, mvk, matroska, mp4, h264 ...etc. with no luck but i don't know if it is the good way.

Serviio run under Windows Seven Home 32 bits .

I can provide some mediainfo.txt but i think it's not related to the pb.

I've find a difference between PS3MS, Serviio and Twonky with upnpInspector. I don't know if this can help :

PS3MS :
http-get:*:video/x-matroska:DLNA.ORG_OP=11
http-get:*:video/mp4:DLNA.ORG_OP=11

Serviio :
http-get:*:video/x-matroska:DLNA.ORG_PN=MATROSKA;DLNA.ORG_OP=01;DLNA.ORG_CI=0;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=01500000000000000000000000000000
http-get:*:video/mp4:DLNA.ORG_PN=AVC_MP4_MP_SD_AAC_MULT5;DLNA.ORG_OP=01;DLNA.ORG_CI=0;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=01500000000000000000000000000000

Twonky :
http-get:*:video/x-matroska:DLNA.ORG_PN=MKV;DLNA.ORG_OP=01;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=01700000000000000000000000000000
http-get:*:video/mp4:DLNA.ORG_PN=AVC_MP4_EU;DLNA.ORG_OP=01;DLNA.ORG_FLAGS=01700000000000000000000000000000

Does the built-in Philips profile not work?

Re: Profile for 24PFL3507H

Hi,

it don't work at the first try. I could see Serviio on my TV but there was no NavTree.
But i do a new install of serviio this afternoon and now i have the NavTree with this profile.
But only .avi are see as native file.
All the other are name like .mp4.mpg, .mkv.mpg or ts.mpg because they are match in the <transcoding><video> things.
If i remove them in the transcoding part they disappear of the NavTree :-(
No pb for .mp4 because until philips solve the pb with mp4 and dlna they need to be remux in mpegts.
But only .mkv with Header stripping or DTS must be remux/encode the other play fine they don't need transcoding.
If i do that in the transcoding part the other .mkv are not show :-(

Re: Profile for 24PFL3507H

Hi,

some news.

I have another TV Philips (42PFL7676H) with the Philips Profile if i remove .mkv from the transcoding part the file are show in the NavTree but some are mark with a cross (not compatible) and the TV refuse to plat them (and .mp4 are recognized as audio file). But it's not true because they play fine with the Generic DLNA Profile without transcode !

On the 24PFL3507H Philips Profile with .mkv remove from the transcoding part make them invisible (only .avi and .mpg are show) . The Generic DLNA Profile give me only one file visible the .ts.mpg :-( (avi mime-type related)

I don't understand why Generic DLNA and Philips profiles (who is an extend) make the TV react differently for the same file who is not match in the transcoding part and are suppose to repose on the Generic Profile even if Philips Profile is use.

Just got the same TV. And obviously have the same problem.
I tool a look at the debug, it seems this model does not identify itself properly. At least, I was only able to see the identifiers from my other SONY TV. Thus, the Philips profile is not selected, at least for me.

With my older Philips (better support of files and UPnP compatible) i'm happy with Serviio but for this model the better DLNA server i have found (after trying a lot of them) is PS3MS.
But it's not so easy to use as serviio (for choising native, trancode or remux file for example you must navigate to a #Transcode# folder , can't find how to do this automatically).
It's not the best solution but you could do what you want with your files.

For using it with Serviio you must use <user-agent>IPI</user-agent> and create a accurate profile. But after a lot of time i did not succes except if i trancode everything :-(
