Chromecast + Serviio

With the release of Chromecast i was wondering if it would be possible to leverage Serviio.
As you know mobile Chrome stopped supporting flash, so i would like to know if would be possible to play media using something else besides flash specifically on Chrome mobile.
I Ask this, since Chromecast only works for Youtube, Nextflix and Chrome.

Thanks!

Re: Chromecast + Serviio

Chromecast plays anything you drop in your browser. Its been proven it can do popular media formats though you need pretty good WiFi setup. Lots of developments going on already to side load apps. So one you get a media client on it then it opens up to dlna servers like serviio.

Re: Chromecast + Serviio

I think your asking if the the MB will play on chromecast web browser?
As you said, flash isn't supported so at current it won't work, however I know an html5 player is on the cards for iOS devices so this maybe able to be used for chromecast.
Will have to wait and see on that

Flash works fine on the ChromeCast. I'm quite sure Serviio's web interface will work on the ChromeCast.

Re: Chromecast + Serviio

Serviio MediaBrowser should work with Chromecast using Chrome browser.

I think the best way is using ServiiGo, Androids version of Serviio MediaBrowser
I've made a request to add this feature for upcoming build - viewtopic.php?f=17&t=6803&start=400#p73851
Sony Bravia 2010 52NX803 - Sony PS3 - Xbox 360
Serviio running on QNAP NAS 639 Pro - 1.6 Intel Dual Core - 2GB RAM and QNAP NAS 121 - 2Ghz ARM Marvell - 1GB RAM
Console using ServiiDroid for Android, ServiiMetro and ServiiWP for Windows Phone and WebUI for iOS

Video of BubbleUPNP streaming MKV and WMV served by Serviio to Chromecast (with additional transcoding performed by BubbleUPnP Server)

I'm interesting to understand how I can use Serviio with Chromecast.
What you write here about Bubbleupnp is what I found also somewhere in others places on the web.
So my question is: why is necessary to install also bubbleupnp server for transcoding? Serviio can not transcode for Chromecast?
I don't know if this is possible with latest version of Serviio and how..
