Support Subtitles on Playstation 3

Id really want to see this aswell for Serviio, it is a necessity that makes watching movies or tv shows way better.
For now i have to use either Plex server or PS3Mediaserver as they both support subtitles and transcode fine.

Having read http://aviaddxsubs.blogspot.co.uk/ it appears the subtitles dont get "burned" like mencoder does while it retains the quality of the movie
Zip can you include XSUB subtitles ability into Serviio? This will solve majority of the subtitles request made

we can't transcode into divx (avi/mpeg4) so this wouldn't work. The only way to do something like this is to wrap subs into mpegts, but I'm not sure if it's even posible, let alone if any player supports it

Implementing subtitle support for ps3 regardless if its via transcode or not is something that would make me go pro
