Mediabrowser ignores "Display content only"

For DLNA use that setting works great.
But mediabrowser seems to ignore. Same result like "Display category".

Please and that feature for mediabrowser too.

Re: Mediabrowser ignores "Display content only"

What version of Serviio are your running? I believe it was version 1.5 where the presentation settings affected MediaBrowser. All older versions ignored the settings.

Re: Mediabrowser ignores "Display content only"

I'm Running 1.6 and 1.5 before.
But in 1.5 I didn't used Mediabrowser so far. So i can't either cofirm or deny your suggestion. For Serviio 1.6 those settings hasn't any effect, tested yesterday.

Re: Mediabrowser ignores "Display content only"

Mediabrowser only uses the Presentation settings - Display and Disabled only. See release notes for version 1.5.

There are no plans afaik to add "Display contents only" for Mediabrowser.

Forum is called "feature requests" and I wanted to request this feature.
That there are no plans to add that function in future versions is not an valid answer to a feature request, i think.

Please evaluate my request. In my opinion it would be helpful to apply all settings for presentation to mediabrowser and DLNA-Clients. So why should some settings be valid for both and some other settings only for DLNA-Clients? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Fair enough - I was only giving you an insight into the fact the functionality was added in version 1.5 but with some limitations, in response to some of the conversation above; and also that there is nothing presently in the development pipeline to add it (nothing in the bitbucket queue afaik).

Thanks, so far.
You maybe just keep that in mind. Would be a nice feature. *close*
