Moving away from flash, Use pure HTML5

Would it be possible to use/integrate/replace the existing Flash embedded player to use an HTML5 (Java?, etc) embedded player. Secondly, is the any integration hooks for ProgDVB (ideally use of Ceton CableCard).

Cheers!

Serviio doesn't integrate flash into it's functionality? So why would it need to move away and use HTML5?

Re: Moving away from flash, Use pure HTML5

Serviio doesn't use Flash for playback to other devices (i.e. streaming to XBox, Playstation 3 or 4, Smart TVs, set top boxes, etc) - that's handled by DLNA.

However, Serviio Pro's MediaBrowser does use Flash to embed media for use in web browsers (so you can browse to your Serviio server and watch your films and TV through a web browser. It's a really cool feature, but as Flash Player is more or less universally reviled, it probably would be best to replace Flash Player with HTML5 within the MediaBrowser environment.

Been discussed a few times. See viewtopic.php?f=6&t=19330#p102228 in particular.
