Could you plz think of adding a "Play to/on device" function in your MediaBrowers, so that one can not only use the your MediaBrower to play media on the local device but also use MediaBrowser as a "DLNA controller" device to controll the DLNA renderers in the local network. Including all the play, stop, ffw, rew, timeskip functions.

The backend code is already in 1.8, but MB will get it in 1.9. It will most likely only support Play functionality to start with.

I just upgraded to Version 1.9 but can't find the play to function in MB. Am I doing something wrong or didn't the function make it to 1.9?

BTW, that function is really a USP in the market - there is no touch enabled webbased controlpoint in the market. Twonky has this feature but is not really usable on tablets or mobile devices. With this Serviio could be seamlesly integrated through IFrame in Home automation Solutions like Openhab.

I don't think "Play to" made it to version 1.9. I can't find a ticket in Bitbucket for it, but perhaps I'm not using the right words to search. When I just tried MediaBrowser, I couldn't find any control for sending the video to another device.

Thanks for the feedback - at least I know now that it's not me just not finding how to activate.

Zip - do you already have any timeline for 2.0 or 1.10 or whatever the next version will be and any plans to implement the function there?
