rescan/add specific folder

Could be great if we could specify, with a simple command line, to rescan or add a subfolder to an existing library without having to wait for next refresh.

When i add a movie ou a new tv show, i usually want to see it right now...

Could also be called by postprocessing download engines like usenet or torrents apps.

Thx

Re: rescan/add specific folder

You could invoke Force refresh using the REST API.

Re: rescan/add specific folder

It will refresh all the library... even if i know there's only 1 subfolder added... or juste one new episode to my favorite tv show.

Yes. I'm not planning to add folder specific refresh though. There is a ticket that will enable you to sort folders in the console and the search will be made in this order, so that might help.

Re: rescan/add specific folder

How about having a sheduled library refresh (i.e. every X days at XX:XX hours)?

Re: rescan/add specific folder

time based refresh is planned. You can accomplish the same now by using a tool like cron (on Linux) and invoking the appropriate REST API function

Is there a list of the REST API's that can be used with Serviio?

Re: rescan/add specific folder

i think time based total refresh would be an ideal compromise between folder specific settings. i went down the road of finetuning as you requested and this does help a lot. sadly as a windows user i'll be stuck to hitting the refresh library button. not a biggy but having this set on a specific intervall would - at least to me - be a major improvement. hopefully to others as well.

zip, i very much appreciate you listening to all the input and for providing this really neat DLNA client.
