Please return to adding the fully free version for install. I really HATE trials.
Re: Free Version
Can you explain what your concern is? If you never use the Pro features, you will never see a difference in operation, nor a performance impact. By having the trial, users can see if it provides value in their own usage patterns. If the developer were to create two different versions of the install, it could cause complications ensuring features work correctly in both versions. It would become much more labor-intensive to maintain.
You might notice that even Microsoft provides such functionality, in that Windows 10 has a single install version, and what changes it from Home to Pro version is the license key code entered. You can upgrade from Home to Pro just by entering a new license key. All the underlying functionality is already there. It just has to be activated with the upgraded key.
I've been using Serviio for over 6 years, and don't ever recall there being two separate versions. What do you mean by "return"?

Re: Free Version
Serviio had a fully free version up until 1.8, after which there was only the paid trial reverting to free.

I've been using Serviio since version 0.6, and maybe even before that. I can't say when he added the Pro version, but it was well before 1.8. There's always only been one install, and it provided a trial Pro version for 15 days. There has never been a separate install for Free and Pro. I've deleted all of my install files prior to 1.2.1 (which is dated March 2013), but again there has never been separate installs to my knowledge.
EDIT: Pro version was added with Version 1.0, and was announced on July 23, 2012. From his news release, I can't tell if he might have had separate downloads for Free and Pro, but I can't remember there being different ones. I can't browse the download server to see what different versions are listed there, but I don't ever remember there being more than one download available per OS.
