Need a profile for Dish Hopper

I Need a profile for Dish Hopper. The Generic DLNA profile works a little for the Hopper but has issues. The DirecTV-HD-DVR fixes some of the issue but then has Size formatting issues.

Thanks

Re: Need a profile for Dish Hopper

To build a profile one either needs to have the device to test with, or a list of supported media/codecs. I have no idea what a Dish Hopper supports, although I'm sure it supports MPEG2 and H.264 video, along with Dolby Digital audio. Beyond that, there are many codecs that might be available in your media that the Hopper does't support.

As a quick test, you could try the Roku TV profile, and if the Hopper supports 4K, then use the Roku 4K TV profile. Chances are your device support more codecs than a Roku does, along with more containers. But it's a place to start with your media that won't play now.

To my understanding the DirecTV profile transcodes everything, so it's usually not the best choice.
