jpg files

First thanks for this great dlna-server.
I use it for my Samsung 651 TV.
I have a little trouble with my photos (jpg-files).
Not all of the jpg-files are sent to the TV.
It has something to do with the size.
Wat are the exact specifications.
I also have the original dlna-server from Samsung; this server let me see more jpg-files (and de TV is diplaying them); it seems, that de dimensions are bigger than in your implementation.
Please help.
Thanks.

Re: jpg files

HI, it's possible. DLNA spec requires the images to be max 4096 x 4096. If the image is larger Serviio doesn't pick it up. What I could (maybe ;-) ) do is resize the image to the allowed size before it's streamed.

Moving this topis into the Featuers forum.

Re: jpg files

Zip,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Your solution can be an improvement, but rest my question why de Samsung en de PS3 dlna-servers both give no problems on my TV with a photo with the size of 4176 x 2938. Are the dlna-specifications strictly 4096x4096 or should it be 4096x4096= 1677216?

Re: jpg files

DLNA spec says max width = 4096, max height = 4096.

The other servers either scale it before streaming to the TV or send it as it is (by which they break the spec)
