cropping

Hi,

first of all thanks for this great piece of software.
It works nicely together with my samsung ue32c6000.
As the samsung software does not support macos it was highly appreciated.

One feature which is missing is the ability to crop videos. I'm recording tv using an online video recorder.
All videos are in 4:3 format including the 16:9. The tv sadly does not allow zooming for streamed video.
Therefor I'd need a way to crop the top and the bottom of the video.
I'd would be very cool if serviio would automatically detect and crop the black border at the top and bottom of
any video. But this is probably asked to much.
If this is not possible would it be possible to add an field with extra parameter for ffmpeg. As almost all of my videos stem from this source.

I tried already to replace ffmpeg with a shell script containing
  Code:
echo $* >debug.log
/Applications/Serviio.app/Contents/MacOS/ffmpeg_org -vf "crop=0:69:0:405" $*

But that did not change anything. And strangely the debug.log file stays empty

Thanks in advance

Re: cropping

That is hard to automatically detect I suppose, also you'd have to transcode all your videos. I'd have thought that it's be easier to crop the videos manually, or have some kind of script that gets kicked off after you capture the stream.
