Fast Fowarding issues

I was running serviio 1.4 yeah and old ver which had everything i wanted wifey wanted subs so i upgraded the pc to a new os Linux Debian and installed 1.9.1
I can't seem to fast foward the files
all files are mp4's nothing else
I even turned transcoding off but that not fix issue so i turned it back on.
Any ideas??

i was tinkering with the profiles and was using a Roku profile so i swapped to a generic dlna profile so far so good.

Do you have burn-in captions enabled? That will force transcoding even if you have it disabled. As you found, the generic profile does no transcoding at all.

If you were using the basic Roku Player profile, it still does transcoding because the older Rokus couldn't handle a very high bitrate. If you used the 2016+ profile, it plays much more without transcoding, but without knowing what codecs are in your files I can't say for sure if they would still call for transcoding.
