Plugplayer Serviio over NET

Anyone here use plugplayer?

I am trying to play content from Serviio over the net. I have used another media server where it will allow to connect through NET by setting your base address as http://username:password@url:port.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Plugplayer Serviio over NET

The only way (as I understand it) to access Serviio outside your firewall (i.e. from the Internet itself) is using the MediaBrowser function in Serviio Pro. I can use it on my iPad 2 from anywhere, whether on my home network or from the Internet.

This seems to be a method to transmit your uPnP device across the Internet. While it appears to have some security, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with this firewall opening. I'd much rather stick with the web browser function of MediaPlayer.
