MediaBrowser problem after update 1.9.1

After upgrade to 1.9.1, I'm not able to use MediaBrowser as before. I'm able to login , browse the folders, select to play all songs, that are showed in the list, but once I want to start video/audio selected, the stream doesn't starts, or I only can play the first video I select. Only un-queueing all, and selecting a new set of songs, I'm able to play the first only and not able to change to another song.
Failure detected just after upgrade of Serviio 1.9.1 , in two computers, W7 and W10, with internet explorer, and same problem accessing locally on the serviio computer or remotelly.

Re: MediaBrowser problem after update 1.9.1

I confirm that Chrome works ok,
But my W7 with Internet explorer 11.0.9600.18920 (11.0.51 last febr fixes applied) fails, even with cache and cookies cleaned and IE restarted.
It is like when you click in the different links in the playlist, the box with the stream browser doesn't refresh, or is linked all time to the first stream you open, until you change all, cleaning the playlist and starting again.
And when the file ends, it doesn't continues with the next, even double clicking another file.
I'll test with my W10 later and post.

Re: MediaBrowser problem after update 1.9.1

I think you'll find that with Windows 10 things will work better with Microsoft Edge but don't expect any improvement with I.E. 11.

I haven't had a chance to see if Firefox or Chrome works with W10.

See my recent post on MediaBrowser with IOS for more details.

Cheers

I also not able to use Mediabrowser.
I simply can't get in. I enter the password and nothing happens, it jumps but the login screen.
I already cleared all browser cache and stuff. I change the password in the console. Not effect.

Anyone can help?

Just to be certain: are you using Serviio Pro, or within the 15 day trial period after installing Serviio? MediaBrowser is only available with the Pro version.

Great. Just had to check. I suggest a clean install of Serviio. It sounds like there might be a database corruption that happened during the update. I've had it happen once (not this particular problem) and removing and reinstalling Serviio did the trick. I'm not aware of any other method of clearing a DB problem.

Re: MediaBrowser problem after update 1.9.1

Are you refering to my problem after upgrade with IE, not failing with Chrome, or , to the problem of not being able to open MediaBrowser (not my case, and not the reason of the thread).Cheers.

Whoops, you got me. I was referring to the MediaBrowser login issue.

That said, I have problems with MediaBrowser myself, using IE, Firefox or Chrome. I have some blocking add-ons in Chrome, but not the others. And one of my test servers is a brand new install on Linux, so I know it's not a cache issue since I had never accessed that particular machine before. All testing was on Windows 10, and IE had never been used on this particular computer before (always used Edge or Chrome), so again no cache issues.

For me, I don't get anything in the play window: no image, no play button, and nothing happens if I click in the play area.

EDIT: from the Linux desktop, using Firefox, I could get one video to play, but none others. I do get the movie image and play button in the play window, but except for the one title nothing happened when I click Play expect the windows goes blank.

Re: MediaBrowser problem after update 1.9.1

That is my problem in IE11 (w7,w10) from mediabrowser upgrade. Play Windows is black. If I click it, the first stream starts. but, i can't change of stream, unless I clean all selected files, change of folder and select again a new playlist.

I created a ticket for 1.10. For now, you will have to use a different browser.

Does that ticket also cover the issues I reported earlier with IOS?
What kind of timeframe are you expecting 1.10?

Re: MediaBrowser problem after update 1.9.1

Mike, can you add some info to this ticket with regards to your issues, or a link to the forum post?

1.10 - no idea, probably a couple of months at least. But might makee a 1.9.2 first if it's a quick fix and the HTML5 player is fixed by their devs soon.

Forgot to add that I would be happy to help test any interim code you produce although there is a 3 week period of March 28 thru April 18 where I will not have access for testing.

Re: MediaBrowser problem after update 1.9.1

People use Microsoft browsers still? I have Windows 10 and Serviio Pro 1.9.1 and Media Browser works with no problems in Firefox and Chrome. I have Adblock, and aggressive firewall, and long host file, no problems. Never tried IE or Edge, I just hate using them and most pages don't load right for me using them the few times I tried them. Works on chrome for Android and Firefox for Android too.

Using a different browser seems like the way to go.
