No devices see serviio server, but it detects them

I have gone through the various guides on this and tried everything I could find via google. I am running xubuntu 12.10. I have serviio starting with the session and startup function in the xfce gui.

Firewall is disabled.

I can connect via console. It says the server is running. It lists my xbox 360 and another computer on the network for the profile listing.

trying the command sudo start serviio doesn't actually do anything and errors out with unknown.

I have also tried the init script for starting serviio with the network.

I have bound the proper eth and ip address.

Could ffmeg affect devices seeing my serviio server? I have tried xbox 360, xbmc, and also serviidroid.

I do have Upnp off on my router, but I have tried with it off and on with no change.

You will need FFmpeg, yes, but that's not the cause of your issue. Enable detailed log an post it again.

I pulled this from serviio.log. Nothign new from today in serviio1.log or derby.log... Also is there a spcecial way I need to install ffmpeg? cause I have it uintalled from multiple tutorials and it still says not installed.

Try to disable UPNP in your router ... had the exact same issue ...

UPnP IS disabled.
