Multiple metadata extractors?

From reading this page: http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=metadata

I had the impression that you could have several extractors enabled and give them each a relative priority so that if metadata for an item was not found using extractor #1, serviio would try again using extractor #2. This would be great if it were true (and maybe it is). Right now I hand craft .nfo files for each of my videos. What I'd prefer is to point serviio at an on-line metadata source and only provide an .nfo file as a second order priority for those cases where meta data was not available from the on-line source.

The serviio console only allows me to select one extractor at a time as far as I can tell.

Is it possible to enable multiple extractor types concurrently and to give them priorities as described? If so, how?

Thanks in anticipation

Re: Multiple metadata extractors?

Not yet. It uses prioritized extractors (embedded -> local cover art -> descriptive metadata), but only 1 descriptive metadata source is supported currently. There is an open ticket to do what you want.

Re: Multiple metadata extractors?

OK, thanks for clarifying. I look forward to the new feature arriving if you find the time to develop it.

Really enjoying my serviio media server btw.... excellent work. I'm a Java developer myself so have an idea how much effort and dedication goes into something like this. Thanks!
