Bound Serviio to two IP addresses

Is there anyway to bound serviio to two different IP addresses or NIC cards?

Re: Bound Serviio to two IP addresses

I do not think it is possible. Why are you wanting to have to ip addresses?

Re: Bound Serviio to two IP addresses

I've got the server connected to the internet on one NIC and an internal intranet on the other. I want Serviio to be running for both, not just one.

Thanks.

Re: Bound Serviio to two IP addresses

Yep bounding serviio to two IP address would be quite useful.
When my laptop is connected via wifi my ip address is 192.168.2.2 while the same laptop on LAN is 192.168.2.6
Both are automatically assigned by my router Belkin 750.

If there is some other way out I dont mind trying.

The bind ip is only for multicast discovery/dlna which does not work over the internet so you shouldn't need to bind it to your internet facing NIC, the media browser etc should work just fine on all NICs.

I misspoke. One NIC connects to the intranet while the other connects to a router that is connected to the internet. I'm trying to get dlna to work on both NICs.

Ah ok, this isn't directly possible at the moment. However, what OS? Linux should be fairly easy to forward packets to the correct ports between the two NICs.

Edit: You could try 0.0.0.0 that usually means bind to everything. Worth a shot.

Re: Bound Serviio to two IP addresses

I have made it work with Network bridging. I bridge between my internal LAN (Connected to TV) and WiFi LAN connected to Router, which connects to all other devices, such as Smart Phone, Tabs & other computers.

For me My TV also takes IP from router and in Serviio I Bound the PC IP. So, both connectivity is connected to Router and all devices from both interface can use this DNLA Server. I even able to play into TV from my android phone "HTC ONE", I browse serviio and as player I choose TV, which is also visible in my player.

My TV is Samsung C630, for Android I am using MediaHouse.
